It started out as a feeling. Which grew into a hope….. (Music/Mute Monday)

Music Monday-
Regina Spektor- The Call
This is the theme song to Narnia- Prince Caspian. I fell in love with the song in the theater, but was elated to find out it was sung by Regina Spektor. She rocks. As I have mentioned before, I was turned on to her by Stealth and became a *huge* fan of Spektors…..

Mute Monday- Different Strokes
OMG this was difficult for me! Gah. BUT this is what I came up with…..
(did you know motorcycles have engines that have different strokes? Don’t ask me to explain, I just know they do, lol)

(last four photos credited to www.fasterandfaster.net)
Very. (very). Short recap.
*Took kiddos to see Narnia- Prince Caspian. PC didn’t care for it much. The kids and I really enjoyed it. A bit difficult to follow. Not how I would have liked it to end. But good movie.
*PC headed out of town for business. *sigh* I miss him so much when he’s gone. At least he had a good send off. *wink wink* Hey! I was talking about when he realized I was awake and ran inside to snuggle with me one last time before he left. (ok…I was talking about the other thing too….doh! lol)
*The kiddos and I went to the zoo. Our first time this year. We had SUCH a good time. The weather was actually consistently NICE. We meandered around, spending time wherever the kiddos wanted, drinking lemonade and snacking on cotton candy/icecream. It was cool. I totally love our zoo. It’s one of our favorite things to do together.
*LP wanted me to take her to the outdoor mall near our house to spend her money from her piggy bank that was burning a hole in her pocket. So what the hell, took her. She bought some quality crap stuff. Let. me. tell. YOU. ;)
So yeah. There you have it.
Enjoy your Monday.

LMAO… And I get this one! Great take on the theme.
Havent seen Prince Caspian. It was one of my favourite books as a child so Im a bit trepidatious as to what they will have done with it.

Nope. I didn’t really care for the movie. But I enjoyed being out with the family. And I was very glad you appeared in the window before I drove off. It was definitely worth coming back in to say goodbye one more time.
I love you and miss you very much.

hmmm, sounds like stealth has turned you “on” to more than jes’ music.. hee hee, but good to know she’s got good taste. (ahem, in music… i’ll let your imagination answer the rest of those implications)

I went and saw Prince Caspian too and was so excited at the end to find out that Regina Spektor was singing it! I knew it the minute I heart it. I love her. I’ve not been able to find the song to download though! grr!!
BunnyMay 19th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
Great take on the theme! I used to have a 2-stroke snowblower. Hated that MF. You had to mix oil and gas in just the proper ratio to run the damn thing. HATED. IT. I prefer to just dump in gas and go. (Or watch someone else shovel or blow the snow. That’s the best way.)
I read all the Narnia books as a kid and am a little nervous to see the movies. I have such wonderful memories of the books.

Moi- thanks! This was a tough one for me but last minute I came up with the idea :)
VixenMay 19th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
Bunny and Havingmycake- this is one of those movies that I would prob skip. I think except in two circumstances I enjoyed movies as much as the book they were made from. And I can guarantee you this is not one of them. Just my two cents.
VixenMay 19th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
Kel- Me too!!! I *heart* her. The song is brand new. I even had a hard time finding a YouTube for it. I checked her myspace too and it’s not available there either. Give it a wk or so and it might be. Although I have noticed her stuff is less readily available. Hmmm…..
KelMay 20th, 2008 at 7:43 am
That’s true, she’s not really mainstream. I’ll keep on the lookout. :)

I love the picture of the guy driving the Vespa and his woman like, sitting on the rear of it. LOL!
Blissfully WedMay 20th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
I’m saving up for a Vespa (or comparable scooter) here. Getting up to 90 m.p.g. is even sexier than some of the pictured ladies above nowadays.
