There is a show on WEtv called “The Secret Lives of Women”.

Real women that reveal their deepest, darkest secrets.  Fetishes, fantasies, polygamists to the dirty little secrets of suburbia.  The show gives you a glimpse into what makes some of these fascinating women tick.  And it’s totally interesting and cool.

What are you hiding?  Is there something about you that no one would guess unless they knew your dirty little secrets?

I think the cool part about blogging and blogland is that is where so many people ARE themselves.  Where they tell about their secret lives.  What they keep hidden IRL, or do behind closed doors.  Bloggers are cool.  ~wink~

I guess my biggest thing that I can think of is this, here.  My blog(s).  There are quite a few people I know IRL that I wouldn’t dream of telling them.  Or showing them.  RL people have to earn my trust and make me feel I won’t be judged or have information they read used against me.  So when people ask me “what do you do”  ….I don’t usually readily offer “I have a blog!  And post half nekkid pictures of myself!”  LOL  I’m not embarassed. I just keep that info private, until I feel safe.  Now the real me is well, me, everywhere.  Here.  There.  LOL  Course then there is my mom who ‘knows of’ my blog but has never read it (she refused to take one of the numerous copies of my old blog that AH’s parents made copies of and distributed to well….everyone.)  But she teases me/jokes about my ‘porn/sex sites and being a party it up lesbian/swinger’.
*snort*
Uh yeah….that’s me.
(hahaha)

Anyways.  I’m not looking for or talking about deep dark secrets.  POST SECRET type confessions or secrets.  I’m just referring to….what the average joe may not know about you that would surprise them.  Fetishes.  Fantasies.  Things people wouldn’t guess about you upon meeting you or know about you, KNOW you.  So?

(btw, Blissfully Wed brought up a legitimate point.  This is *NOT* just directed towards the gals.  The show IS.  But my question/post, is not.  I’m curious to hear of ANYONE who is willing to share. Ok? …smile…)

HappyHUMP Day!!!

This might be more timid than what you might be looking for, but it’s always funny to me that whenever I meet someone who previously only knows me through the blog, almost the first thing they exclaim is, “You’re so much taller than I thought!”

So, I’m 6’2″ and what may or may not be another surprise is that I’m quite shy. I’m good one-on-one, but always the quietest in any group setting. ;)

Wait. Was this just for women? I think I should have read more carefully. Oh well. Another thing about me is that I apparently don’t pay attention to detail. Carry on.

BW- No! Definitely not just for women! :) I’m glad you joined in and commented! And that is *exactly* what I was looking for.

I can be pretty shy and reserved too in a public setting. It surprises most people.

I don’t think I would have guessed that BW was 6’2″…

I think the thing that my family has finally accepted is that I’ve got more RL friends in blogland than in town.
“I’m going to a wedding in Denver”
    “Whose?”
    “No one you know”
“Oh, must be one of your internet friends…”

I don’t really have any fetishes or desires. Maybe people IRL have no clue how utterly screwed up I can be. Or maybe they do. And they don’t know I post half nakkid pics of myself either.

Something a lot of people don’t know about me is how, deep down, I’m very caring and sweet. I don’t let that show very often because I have to trust you immensely to let you see that part of me and I just don’t trust very easily at all. Once I let someone closer to me, they always make the comment about how kind and caring I am. It’s just not something my real life people know for the most part. I hold a lot of myself back. I’m not shy by any means but I have a lot of me that I don’t let shine through.

My friend MG, my boyfriend and 2 of my RL friends are the only people who read my blog and know about my HNT. My family would die I imagine. What a way for them to all find out I’m bisexual, lol.

I also collect rubber ducks and penguin stuff. I look so “dark” and “goth” to most people because of how I dress and do my make-up that they end up surprised I collect such silly little things. *rolls eyes* Lol. I totally wouldn’t admit this in real life but I have a little stuffed penguin that either chills in the bed with me once I’m going to sleep or he sits on the table right next to the bed. Weird, I know. It’s a comfort thing. I never slept with any kind of stuffed animals or anything like that when I was a little kid though.

    Happy Wednesday.

Well for starters there isn’t a single soul I know in RL that knows about my “Midnight Tales” blog. One of my sisters is the only person who knows about SD and I still having more than a platonic relationship. Everyone I know (except SD) would be super surprised to see the half naked pictures I’ve posted of myself on my blog.
I wouldn’t consider it a fetish, but I would love to have SD tie me up where I can’t move one of these times we have a private meeting. There is a good reason I want to try this, which I will probably post about one of these days.
Hmm… there are quite a few things about me that most people don’t know actually.

So anyway, I totally agree with you – bloggers are cool! :)

Sunday Secrets are a regular post for me, and those secrets are things I’d never share with RL acqaintences. Funny BW mentioned people commenting on his height. I usually get the same – for some reason people don’t realize just how tall a 6′ woman really is!

    Great topic Vixen!

  9.   Mike YNo Gravatar Says:

I suppose most people consider me very straight laced. My employees are routinely shocked at things about me, like seeing me order a beer, seeing the hula hoop pic at Coyote Ugly, learning I have my nipples pierced, etc.

If those items weren’t enough, then there’s the fetish side. Or that while I am very dedicated to one woman, I can be very open with the love of my life and not confining and stalking.

Oh… there are so many more things I could add. Hah Hon? Do I have any secrets you can think of? ;)

  10.   Mojito MojoNo Gravatar Says:

Shit, do I even have one. LOL – well, to most people, they think I am shy too…or reserved or whatever.

  11.   VixenNo Gravatar Says:

Os- me too. LOL My family has come to understand the same thing about me.

  12.   VixenNo Gravatar Says:

AR- aww….I think that is totally cool, and thank you for sharing about your soft side. *smile*

  13.   VixenNo Gravatar Says:

Mike- oh yeah. OH. YEAH. There are many, MANY things/secrets about you that people would never guess. ;)

  14.   mamatulipNo Gravatar Says:

Like you, a lot of people don’t know about my blog. More people know now than before, but there are a lot of my friends and family members that don’t know about it. And I’m fine iwth that. LOL!

I don’t think people I know IRL know how closely I follow celebrity gossip, either. *snort*

My blog is my dirty little secret except from Yummy and my RL GF, Professor. Everyone else would be horrified that I post HNT pics of myself (when I can) besides those two things people are ALWAYS shocked to find out that I have tattoos. I’m sure there’s a few more that Yummy could spill for me but we’ll save those for later! lol

  16.   TUGNo Gravatar Says:

Well, I think you can guess what my secret is ;) You’ve been around long enough to know that. And…my blog is the secret part of my life. Only one RL person (see above) knows about it. I hate that I can’t talk about some of my digital friends, go to events or see them when I’m out of town. I’m also much more open on the blog than in RL, but I think most bloggers are. Oh, I also have a secret blog that nobody gets to read.

  17.   SeaRabbitNo Gravatar Says:

I’m not sure what I think about this… I’m quite an open person… and I don’t have much to hide… but as I became aware that some co-workers were reading my blog, I fell the need to have another one… a secret one… Well… It is not secret for many, what this blog is about… it is only that I didn’t want to make my co-workers uncomfortable… LOLOL… Me?? I am very comfortable with who I am… llolol… Yes… sexually or not… ;-))
Thanks for you kind wishes… ;-))

I have a tattoo on my back shoulder, the response by most to that, was..interesting. The people I associate with would never guess I have pierced nipples, that I absolute adore going to Wicked Faire events, or that I have a deep seated desire to explore BDSM.

Because a few of my RL friends do have visiting permissions to my blog, I don’t discuss the BDSM there.
