So….Thursday was fun. We woke up to snow coming down heavily. Ah yes….spring snow in the rockies. I shoveled first thing in the morning only to find just as much snow, if not more, replaced by the time I was taking the kiddos to meet the bus. Great! Send the kiddos off, half thinking it was odd they were even having school with this much snow. But hey, the bus actually showed up like 5min earlier than it usually does on NON snowy days. Okay then. Not all that surprised when 3hours later the school called to inform us they were closing early and what kind of arrangements did we want to make to get them. Luckily PC was already on his way to pick up LM from Kindergarten so he just brought both back with him.
Four o’clock that afternoon I go back outside to shovel and omfg if there isn’t like 2′ of snow that has accumulated since I last shoveled. Yep. Gotta love spring snow! At least I know the grass will grow and green up for the horses now. I was having some concerns. While I love the mild winter, I also love not starting the spring off on high fire alert! Memorial Day on a burn ban just doesn’t seem right, you know?!
Oh. And school was canceled for Friday too. Yay…. I see a photo op in the making, lol!
We’ve had dog drama in our household. Daisy May, *my little girl*, finally came into heat. Oh. My. Fucking. GAWD. The doggie drama!!!! Thankfully, we’ve fallen into routine and all I can say is thankfuckinglord our dogs are crate trained. We’re surviving. Gah.

I hear ya about spring in the rockies – I have battled a foot of fresh snow, and drivers that don’t want to share the roads on my last two sunday long runs. I guess you have to put up with the weather if you want the view. Speaking of the view loved your pics this week.
