Jenny (***names have been changed***) has a boyfriend who is away on tour of duty in Iraq.  He will be gone a year *at least*.  She has come to the conclusion that she doesn’t want to be with him anymore.  She was having doubts and they were having problems before he left.  She is wanting to move on with her life, put some closure to things.  Does she email him and break up?  Or wait the year plus until he comes back to tell him?

I think most people would agree, the worst possible way to break up with someone (besides text, DOH) is in an email.  But that aside, what kind of detrimental harm or stress could she be putting on this guy currently risking his life to fight for our country???  This information could be very distracting to him.

But on the flip side, is it fair to her, to have to put her life on hold and wait for him to get back to tell him?  To not be able to move forward until she has broken off their relationship.

What is the ‘right’ thing to do here?

1. How many speeding tickets have you had?
1.  I was 21.  I HATE being pulled over.  I mean, not that anyone enjoys being pulled over, lol.  But it causes me (and always has) an INSANE amount of anxiety.  I am the person that never, EVER speeds. 

Accidents?
Two.  I rear ended another car when I was a teenager (no ticket issued bc of the circumstance).  And then in my mid twenties I rolled my Jeep off a mountain pass to avoid hitting an Elk.  I was on my way into town (we lived in serious BFE) to deliver newspapers at 3 in the morning.  Doh.  No ticket issued for that one either.  But I did total the Jeep.  *sigh*

2. Boxers, briefs or commando?
I never wear either boxers OR briefs ;)
Are we talking on a GUY?  Boxers. 

3. Have you ever had sex in your office or your place of employment?
Yep. 

4. Do you or your so own a motorcycle? Do you ever ride one? Do you wear a helmet when you ride?
No. No.  Yes I would.  I was in a really bad motorcycle accident in my late teens.  Jacked up my knee, put a tree branch through my chin.  No motorcyles for me thankyouverymuch.

5. Ever been skinny dipping?
*snort*  Hell yeah. I loooooooooove to skinny dip!!!

Bonus: Ever been arrested?
Yes. I have.  And that’s all I have to say about that.

Turned someone in/had someone arrested?
Several times on my ex husband I had to call 911 and he was arrested both times.
They were severe circumstances.

We had THE MOST awesome weather this weekend.  Spent a good part of Saturday on the lake then at a neighbors BBQ. 

Friday night we went to my favorite Sushi restaurant.  *YUM-MY*  Then took the kiddos to see Transformers 2. 

We had hoped/planned to see it on the IMAX screen but it was way sold out before we made it there.  We opted to wait in an hour and half line for the regular screen showing (at least this wasn’t the budget theater near our house, but a newer, super nice one further away).  It was freaking *AWESOME*.  All those uptight parents who gave it sucky reviews for ‘unnecessary adult language and sexual content’ can suck it and should stick with movies like Wall-E bc it fucking kicked ass.  We are even contemplating going again but to the IMAX version (poor LM fell asleep 3/4 way through it and was sooooooo disappointed- he *LOVES* the Transformers).  Anyway.  If you liked the first one, you will love the 2nd.  And yes.  Megan Fox is still SMOKIN’ HOT! *swoon*

As I’ve mentioned, I am a HUGE fan of SYTYCD.  Some seasons I have a hard time getting into but I am *loving* this one.  Jeanette and Brandon did a Hip Hop routine that ROCKED.

I was fairly disappointed in the male dancer who got sent home Thursday.  But pretty ok about the female.  For anyone who Tivo’s crap and hasn’t watched it yet, I’ll leave it at that so as not to spoil.

Another crazy busy week.  This 24/7 cruise director business is exhausting! ;)

• Spent a day with my sister and her kiddos at their super cool pool
• Several more pool days (thank GOD for the nicer weather)
• Decided to switch things up and spend the day at the zoo.  I was worried with the heat that the animals would be quiet and hidden.  But we were pleasantly surprised at how active they were. I am a native and have been to our zoo upteen zillion times since I was a child and have never, EVER seen the Mountain Lion.  I mean I’ve ‘seen’ him hiding.  But not OUT.  Until this week. It was amazingly cool~!
  

• Puppies are getting SO big.  Daisy is  O-V-E-R the mommy thing (right, you know as much of a ‘mom’ as she was in the first place, lol).  They are now 5weeks and have graduated to the puppy play pen.  There happens to be one air conditioning vent in their play pen.  Can you guess where it is?  (psst….under the puppy pile up)

• Oh!  And PC helped me take my top down!  On my Jeep sillies ~wink~  The beginning of our summer was so wet and blah, but it’s finally warmed up and we’ve been having some *awesome* weather.  I figured it was about time we take my top down (on the Jeep!). I have LOVED bopping around in the sunshine in it.  *happy sigh*

Hope everyone has a kick ass wkend.  Transformers 2 came out and everyone in our household is chomping at the bit to go!

Figleafand NYDiva brought up a separate but similar issue to last weeks CQW regarding ‘confronting the other woman/man‘.  I had mentioned how an (ex) friend of mine’s (very insecure) wife had confronted me, demanding I ‘leave him alone’.  NYDiva mentioned how jealous partners of her male friends had asked them to ditch her.  Basically to make themselves feel better with their insecurity.  Bc that’s really what it comes down to isn’t it?  Insecurity. 

But really what if it’s not even insecurity or jealousy.  What if your S/O just simply doesn’t *like* a friend of yours.  For whatever reason.  Be it a bad influence, they party too much, too flirtatious…..whatever.

I have never and would never ask PC to STOP being friends with someone.  That is not who I am or what our relationship is about- controlling each others actions, or who they see or talk to or are friends with.  However, the foremost important thing in our relationship IS each other.  And respect.  Respecting how the other feels, how our actions make the other feel.  I would never ask PC to *not* be friends with someone.  Though I might be truthful in my dislike of that person he is friends with.  There is a difference IMO.

It reminded me of a fellow blogger B.  Her husband has a female friend that she REALLY dislikes.  I’m pretty sure her husband is aware of the dislike.  But, I respect B for not making it an issue.  Not ‘demanding’ he stop the friendship.

I find making demands regarding who your spouse, S/O is friends with to be petty and insecure.  Of course you could turn it around with a different example.  Like, your husband is friends with a bunch of bad news crankheads who stay out late partying, drinking, gambling.  Gah.  This seems much more serious with bigger issues than just ‘not liking’ their friends.  So I don’t really want to delve there.  I’m mainly wanting to keep it light.

So that said.  Have you been in a platonic friendship of the opposite sex (actually could even work in the same sex) and been expected to drift away or even flat out DE-friend them bc of your S/O?  Or have you had this happen to you by a friend?

Ha!  Uh, hell no. I’m pretty in love with the ‘love’ part.  And I need that.  Amazing sex is only amazing for so long before it dies out bc of lack of….’more’.

2. If you could only have one, which would you choose: love that lasts forever or great, body numbing sex?
Um.  Both.  Seriously I have to choose?!?! I suppose love that lasts forever. As I said above, great sex only goes so far in my book.  I mean, great sex is AWESOME.  But I need more.  Longterm.

3. Looking back at your past loves, which one should you have married/taken back and who should you have tossed earlier than you did?
Wow. Well.  My ex husband.  In hindsight. It was *such* an unhealthy relationship.  From the very beginning and there were SO many warning signs that I saw but chose to ignore.  Blech.

The high school boyfriend I had, I always thought I should’ve married.  PLANNED on marrying.  But then I reconnected with him many years later and it became so apparent that him and I were so never meant to be. 

Honestly, I a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.  I’m with the person I was meant to be with NOW.  And we have agree, that had we met years earlier, it would have never worked out.  We were different people in different places.  It works now…bc it was meant to.  ~grins~

4. if you had one last fuck in you where, how and who would you “give it” to?
I’m going to sound SO boring in this…..  But I have no fucking clue.  I HATE planning sex.  Planned sex is THE biggest mood killer for me.

5. Which is more important sex, money, love and happiness? (and no, you can’t pick’em all)
Happiness.  Hands down.  If you aren’t happy, NOTHING else matters.  You could be the richest person in the world…get the most sex…..and be *loved*.  But if you don’t find/have happiness….you have nothing.  You are empty.  For me, at least.

Mute Monday- “Vision”

Did everyone spoil their men yesterday? I certainly hope so!  I felt as if I were the one who was actually spoiled (doh!) but I think PC managed to enjoy himself too.  We ate at Famous Dave’s for the first time (mine and two of the kiddos, not PC’s and LB-his son).  Let me say, I was in sauce HEAVEN. For anyone who is new here or doesn’t read me frequently enough- I am *ALL* about the sauce.  Food is merely a vehicle for sauce.  I looooooooooooove sauce.  Case in point- I eat french fries FOR the ketchup.  My favorite restaurant is The Melting Pot bc you get like *SIX* different dipping sauces.  See?!  Well, Famous Dave’s has *FIVE* different types of BBQ sauces you can mix and match.  And while most BBQ places refuse to have anything on their menu except meat (barf), these guys are actually smart and have choices for a vegetarian like me.  ~GRINS~

I managed to coerce (not really!) PC into providing me a much needed/wanted/craved O.  The really big, leave you shaking in the knees, breathing heavily kind….  I LOVED this Father’s Day! *snort*  What?!  ….he loves to pleasure me!  ;)

Oh.  And for anyone interested. I highly *DON’T* recommend Year One.  Of course you expect it to be stupid, but it was REALLY stupid and in a less than funny sort of a way.  The crude ‘humor’ (I put that lightly) was over the top. And every funny scene in the movie is in the previews.  Blech.  You should actually just watch the preview, it’s really funny, and then call yourself good.  It’ll save you the admission and time.  Ha!
