Well. My furbaby Mick is home. He spent two nights hospitalized, being treated very aggressively in an attempt to lower the fever and right the electrolyte problem. The repeat blood work they did Thursday afternoon showed major improvement in all the areas we had been concerned. He does still have a slight fever. He’s much peppier then he’s been in weeks. But he’s still not anywhere near himself. *sigh* The diagnosis is still undetermined, but being called “Bacterial Hepatitis”. It’s possible a liver biopsy might help us to understand what specifically happened. That procedure is risky, possibly still not definitive and… expensive. So we are passing on that right now. We do have ideas on ‘if’ (when) this happens again, ways to prevent him hitting rock bottom like he did this time. We’re still not sure he’s out of the woods yet. Which worries me. But I am hopeful….bc I don’t want to think of the alternative.

We’d had plans to hit the water park Thursday with all the kiddos. But one of them waking up puking kind of put any of those ideas to a halt. Sick kiddos mid summer is retarded if you ask me but whatever. He did brighten up and we ended up taking them to see the new Harry Potter movie instead. Which the kids and I loved, PC not so much. It would have been nice if the 3 tween boys sitting in front of us hadn’t been so LOUD. I’m not sure if they got bored or what but their banter/chatter became increasingly louder, along with their belching and ‘boy sounds’ that would result in their delightful laughter. *rolling eyes* It was not so amusing to us. And I did finally say something to them before PC whopped them upside their heads.

weren’t the pics amazing. I still haven’t been able to get to all of them between hubby and the kids being around.
Loved Sadie’s pic too! and Dana- great from a photography stand point (plus it’s hot)!

I’m so glad Mick is home and feeling better. I hope he continues to improve and that y’all find some answers in all of this to prevent it from happening again.
