Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, holiday for those of us in the states and the wkend-wkend for everyone else. It was a whirlwind (as seems to be this ‘norm’ for us this summer) weekend. Friday wasn’t really a pool day, so we took the kiddos to see Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on Friday. Recently in the afternoons we’ve experienced T-storms resulting in *torrential downpour* and hail, then bc of the enormous amount of rain in a short period- flash flooding. Oh joy. The positive is that they are fairly regular in the time they come by every afternoon and are quick to pass, leaving you with sun and mild evenings. Can’t argue too too much with that. At least the threat of forest fires at this point is very minimal. See? Silver lining ~wink~
We spent the Fourth with my sisters family. The six kiddos played awesome together. Bonus! The adults enjoyed some Brazillian cocktail made with Brazillian Tequila Rum that knocked me on my ass were quite yummy. *cough cough* No really, the very bottom after PC had drank my drink for me where the lime juice and sugar was, was QUITE yummy. *snort* It’s always a good time when we get our families together. Then bc the kiddos hadn’t had enough of each other (lol), five of them spent Sunday together as well for a slumber party. Which worked out bc it had been too wet to have much fun the night before with the sparklers and shit we had bought for them so we entertained them with those.
LM begins a Jumpstart program that runs through July. Just when the kiddos and I were beginning to enjoy our laizze faire summer mornings….. It’s totally worth it bc it will be good for him. It will be the first few mornings trying to get back into a ‘wake up early and get out the door’ routine that will kill me/us.
Anyways. Wow am I exciting, eh? Kids. Kids. Kids. Don’t worry, somehow, somewhere, PC and I still managing to finagle some naughty time here and there (now that his allergies are somewhat under control again that is!).
