So for those that don’t read here daily (don’t worry I won’t hold it against you….unless you want me to, hehe), PC and I went to a Crue Fest on Tuesday.  Featuring a line up of Charm City Devils, Drowning Pool, Theory of a Deadman, Godsmack and Motely Crue.  It wasn’t really ‘my’ scene per se but I seriously owed PC in the music department (we’ve gone to SO many concerts with bands I love).  Despite the weather looking if-y, it turned out beautiful.  We sat on the lawn (it was an outdoor venue), enjoying the sunshine, beer and awesome people watching.  The diveristy of the crowd was super intriquing.  It makes you wonder when someone gets ‘escorted’ out by security AND medics before the first band even plays… ?!?!  Okay…. 

Drowning Pool sucked live.  That was a bit disappointing.  You hope when you go to see a band live that they sound at least half as good as they do in studio, I mean right?  Theory of a Deadman rocked it.  PC and the majority of the other people there thought Godsmack did too.  But I’m really not a fan of theirs, so we’ll take his word on it.  PC really went to see Godsmack (he actually kept calling it the “Godsmack concert”, he’s cute, no?).  When it came time for the actual headlining band to come on (Crue), he suggested we head out.  Half the rest of the crowd had the same thought.  The venue was two hours away from where we live.  And, well, the drinking, heavy flirting and aspect of NO. KIDS. THE. ENTIRE. NIGHT weighed on our decision to leave as well.  *grins*  I did hear that Motley Crue were awesome.  I’m fine taking their word for it.  We had our own awesome good time at home, that made missing them worth it. Mmmhmm…..

We had an annoying interesting couple behind us.  They doled out tiny shooters of flavored Vodka to us for watching their blanket on several occasions.  While I am a fan of flavored Vodka on occasion, it’s usually in the form of COLD and mixed in something else COLD.  Not….air temperature of 90 degrees.  Course I didn’t remember this about myself (maybe I was just trying to be polite…or take up on the offer of alcohol that cost less than $9.50) until I actually drank one of the shooters.  *barf. puke. hurl. choke*  Sigh.  They had this crazy amazing story of how she had gone into labor while they were at another concert featuring Godsmack and they had to leave before Godsmack came on.  But even weirder more amazing was that they weren’t even together anymore…but were at this concert together NOW.  Ok, really, they were quite friendly and nice.  What made them annoying was that they were the drunk people who love their own stories so much they tell it repeatedly.  Like 100. plus. times.  Doh.

Anyway.  The only other highlight of my week was school supply shopping for the kids (big woop, lol).  I for once did it early enough that I only had to go to TWO places to complete the lists, rather than 8 different places trying to scrounge up what was left.
