The beginning of a new series. I’m loving the way many of them turned out, I don’t think I’ll get quite as many weeks out of them as the Sunflower series (lol), but definitely more will be going up in weeks to come.

Simply put…
Teenage girl gets intimate with a boy. Boy snaps pic of her on his iPhone. It gets distributed through out the school. Girl is devastated.
Girl acts out. Mom wants to ‘be her friend’. Dad wants to ground her. Mom doesn’t feel it was girls fault the boy she hooked up with was a jerk and feels she has suffered enough, isn’t being ridiculed publicly enough punishment? Dad feels girls bad judgment is what got her there in the first place and there should be consequences.
I don’t know what the right thing to do here is. The girl is acting out. Seems there should be consequences for that behavior. Except the stem for her acting out is the action of the boy who publicly ridiculed/humiliated. It’s so difficult to be a teen. I would never ever in a hundred million years want to be a teenager again. I think I have to side with the mom. Reason #525 why I am nervous as hell to become a mom of two teenage kids. *breaths deeply into a bag*

OMG we had the best weekend! Picked up Roxy and Hottie Hubbie from the airport Friday night, enjoyed a yummy (but veeeeeeery late) dinner at Bennihana’s, kiddos and boys passed out once home, Roxy and I hot tubbed it until 2:00 am (*yawn*). The next day (it’s your birthday, it’s your birthday…..woot, woot!) PC surprised me with Starbucks (Venti Nonfat Xtra Hot Caramel Macchiato…MMMmmmm…..) and a dozen red roses. He also gave me the most adorable little dress from AE. I’ll model it sometime for you. ~wink~ We spent a luxurious afternoon getting our toes done then headed downtown to check into our hotel and get ready.

Dinner at The Rio. Margaritas, Patron shots, beer….oh, we ate too.

PC was DONE. Passed out hard and cold.
And amazingly despite all that I had to drink AND all those shots (I am NOT a shot person unless we’re talking JELLO shots, lol) I wasn’t hardly hung over. Felt a little rough but definitely functioning (although spacey as hell, doh). I’ve never seen PC drink as much as he did that night. He’s such a trooper! He’s annoying in that he never has hangovers (lol). I felt a little badly that Roxy and her Hottie Hubbie had to get on a plane feeling the way they did. But hey, that is a true sign of a good wkend had! AND….there is talk they might be able to come out for HALLOWEEN!!!! Halloween is a HUGE holiday for us (if you hadn’t already figured that out yet, hehe…).
So yeah. Off to bed.

My whole family has been sick. Sick SICK for over a week now. Beginning with the kiddos two weeks ago (who are still kinda sick, btw), then PC and me…… This thing has kicked my ASS. I never get sick and it’s ridden me in a way that’s made me feel as if a Mack truck mowed me down (edited to make Roxy quit bitching at me, lmao). In true PC form, he was awesome, taking care of me. *thank god* Wouldn’t it figure just as I begin to feel better (and we have amaaaaaaaaaaazing weak in the knees sex to make up for me being so dead to the world earlier in the week) he’s the one super sick now.
Blech.
Tomorrow is my birthday. Roxy and her hottie hubbie are flying in to celebrate, in true ‘us’ fashion we are having a celebratory party weekend. *WOOT!* It’s become Roxy and mine thing….to spend our birthdays together. It’s been several years since she’s been able to come here. We have an *excellent* party district. Look out Coyote Ugly here we come!

During his bachelor party, James got drunk and pretty wild with some strippers in the hotel room. They ended up getting naked and some ‘things’ happened (he didn’t go into great detail, but you get the idea).
One of the couples mutual friends attended the party and confronted him the next day, saying he was very uncomfortable with what took place at the party. He had no idea things were going to get as wild as they did and wanted to know how honest James was with his fiancee about what took place at the party. He is seriously considering telling James fiancee about what took place. And isn’t sure he can remain friends with James anymore.
James doesn’t know what to do. While he does think his fiancee will understand, he didn’t have intentions of going into detail with her about the events of the night. Should he tell his fiancee what took place at the bachelor party? Is there anyway to mend his friendship with the offended friend?
Um. Sounds like things got WAY out of hand and James fucked up. He has witness’s, one(s) who weren’t/aren’t comfortable with what went down. I think he has to fess up to his fiancee. It would be WAY better for it to come from him then the friend. And then he has to deal with whatever comes of it.
I’m of the opinion that while bachelor/bachelorette parties are a great and fun way to celebrate a last ‘hurrah’, they are NOT meant to sow your oats one last time. It goes back to what we have all discussed before….if you don’t have your s/o’s okay to be with another person- it’s cheating. The excuse of being at your bachelor party doesn’t give you a get out of jail free card! But maybe the fiancee would be cool with what happened, IDK. Regardless, I feel he has to tell her.
The friendship with his friend, he can try to smooth things over by letting him know he came clean with his fiancee. But if the friend is offended by what took place, then it is what it is.

I’d like this question better if we were talking about at least $500….. The answer would be hay. Hay and a new toilet in the kids bathroom would make me sleep better at night and breathe a huge sigh of relief.
Neither of which cost $100. So um, I guess my answer would be that I would use it to save up.

The summer after LM was born when my exH came to me and told me how miserable he was and regretted ‘agreeing’ to another baby. I was devastated. He broke my heart. My mother convinced me to stay. If I could do it over, I would have left. It was clear we were done. I never should have stayed the three years more that I did.

I got an email from a deployed soldier that I wanted to share with you all….
Hi, my name is Jack and I am a deployed soldier. I am a big fan of TFT and really appreciate all the support. Currently my team is located on a small base where there are no women, none. As you can imagine it gets a bit frustrating, so its nice to be able to see a little female support. Is there anyway that you know of to put troops in contact with willing females who wouldn’t mind sending an occasional email or chatting? I have tried several sites that claim they hook soldiers up with pen-pals, but have not had any luck. Anyways I really appreciate your time and your support, thank you so much!
After doing quite a bit of research, I discovered he’s right! I looked into a bunch of different sites and they all eventually require a fee and turn out to be more like ‘dating’ sites. Which he clarified he’s not necessarily looking to date anyone and not really all that excited to pay money for strangers to email him. What’s a guy serving our country got to do to make some female friends?!?!

Both kiddos had their first soccer games this weekend. Which leads me to my next thought. WTF is up with some parents?!?! There should be a ‘parents must refrain from being asshats’ disclosure before you can attend any of your kids games. Seriously. PC and I decided to tag team the kids games this wkend and bwtn the things he overheard and the parents I had to deal with, it makes me question why we encouraged our kids to even be in organized sports. We are talking about 10 and 6 year olds here. Gah… I can guarantee you that if anyone makes nasty ass comments about our kids like they were to some of the other kids, shit is going to go down. Ridicilousness I’m telling you.
PC had a pretty good birthday I think, despite both of us being sick all weekend. He treated us to Starbucks, which has become a nice thing to look forward to on Sundays. Yes, yes, I know, HE should have been treated but YOU try telling him no when he insists on something at 7am (lol). LP threw him a tea party. She had been planning it for over a week and was beyond estatic to do that for him. Awww…. (Hehe) I don’t have pictures of that. BUT what I was fortunate to get a picture of was dinner at Hooters when the girls made him climb up on a chair and shake his tail feathers. Anyone who remembers his bday downtown two years ago, can recall him attempting to chug beer and hoola hoop at Coyote Ugly. As he puts it- his hips are directly connected to his shoulders, so he doesn’t have much wiggle to his hips. *snort* Still horribly cute to see. And the best part was that he played along in the first place. ~wink~
