You turned me into somebody loved

Three years ago (September 26 to be exact) I got a very special birthday present, which has turned out to be one of the best ever. PC arrived on my doorstep. He left everything he knew behind to come to me when I needed him most.
I can’t believe it’s only been three years. I mean that positively, btw. I say that bc it seems like so much longer that we’ve been together. Being with PC is like being ‘home’. Warm, snuggy, safe….happy.
It’s funny how it’s difficult to remember a time where PC wasn’t in my life. Possibly that is due to the mess my life was in beforehand. The chaotic upheaval and state my children and I were in. That I was trying to cope with. And instead, was sucking at keeping it together. PC helped me pick up the pieces and slowly put them back together. The first year was rough. Everyone we knew didn’t think we would make it. That it wouldn’t last. How could it given the circumstances which brought us together… But we’ve done it. We beat the odds.

I have to agree with Dana on this. Your story gives me hope that maybe someday, someone will swoop in and help me fix this mess.
As much as I preach independence and never wanting to get as involved as I was with Z………stories like that make me long for that.

I love you so much, Honey! I have to admit that three years ago I had no idea how things would go. I simply tried everything not to think too much about it– not to worry about things out of my control. Well, it was one of the best things I’ve ever done, if not THE best. You’re my everything!!!
