A Springfield, Virginia man is facing an indecent exposure charge after a passerby spotted the man naked in his kitchen and reported it to police. (The full story can be found HERE)
“Yes, I wasn’t wearing any clothes but I was alone, in my own home and just got out of bed. It was dark and I had no idea anyone was outside looking in at me,” Williamson said.
I guess the man was up at 5something a.m. making coffee in his kitchen naked. A woman with her son cut through his yard and saw him through his windows. She then had him arrested for ‘indecent exposure’. I find this totally ridiculous. And as someone who likes to be naked, is comfortable naked, likes to walk around my house naked, etc this REALLY bothers me. What if you changed this story a bit…. Say, a GUY cut through a GIRL’s lawn and saw her naked, guaranteed HE’D be the one in trouble, he’d be considered a peeping tom! A person should be allowed to be dressed (or undressed) anyway they like in their own home. I think this woman was being very prude and uptight to be offended by a naked man in his own home. She was on his property, in the dark, it seems to me HE should be the one pressing charges. Stop looking in people’s windows!
What is your opinion on this?

I mentioned it Tuesday, which is when TFT is posted. But now that it’s the actual *day*….. It’s Veteran’s Day.
Remembrance Day for veterans is not a day for politics but a day of prayers for those who died for our independence. Whether they died from the bullet of the regime and/or from SNM, they deserve to have a special place in history….
Land of the FREE, Because of the BRAVE. To all the men and women out there who are serving and have served…. Thank You.
If you are interested in showing your support and boosting some moral, it’s as easy as snapping a pic of your boobs/chest (GUYS AND GIRLS) and sending them in. Don’t forget to tell me how you would like to be linked and/or credited~!

Happy HUMP Day!!!

This one really bugs me. Being naked in ones home doesn’t constitute indecency. There’s no lewd act. And there’s no indication of any intent to perform an indecent act.
Check out this case: http://www.keloland.com/NewsDetail6162.cfm?Id=78776.
In this article, a plumber exposed himself to two different women– in their homes. Police couldn’t do anything to him because it wasn’t in a public area.
Now, from what I can understand, the cut-through was a public walkway or trail. And this is where it’s deemed fuzzy for the prosecution. He was in his home, she and the child were on a public path.
Now, you’ll hear about it being dark, etc. If it was dark, it may have been hard for him to see outside, but not vice versa. Having said that, most kitchens down have full-length windows. No one like to wash dishes on the floor.
But none of this really matters. There still has to be an indecent act involved for the man to be arrested. And I have seen nothing in the follow-ups to point to such behavior.

This one really bugs me too. For the sake of argument, let’s concede that the woman was on public property and not actually in this man’s yard. She was looking into his home!! And I think you make a great point, had the genders been reserved, the guy would have been raked over the coals for being a peeping Tom!

I like to be nekkid too but I’m confuzzled by the conflicting stories. One version has him making coffee at 5AM in the dark and the complainant mysteriously wandering around with a small child at that hour. But the other version has him nekkid at 8:30 AM in clear light at a window facing a School Bus Stop and that’s where the Woman was heading. And quote his room-mates as saying he was drunk.

Did he have an erection? Im just sayin maybe he wasn’t very well and that is why the woman decided to press charges!

Shit – I am in big trouble….
TUGNovember 11th, 2009 at 10:52 am
This is totally stupid and I’ve refused to follow it on the news. They guy was in his house, period! I don’t care at what time the lady looked inside, it’s his house. If there is a bus stop nearby they need to move the bus stop. Seriously, if we can’t walk naked in our own houses without fear of breaking some stupid law that doesn’t apply to the situation then this country is already lost!

Chef Troll- wait. You can’t be drunk in your own home now either?!
Everything credible I have read says it was 5:30 in the morning. But really it makes no difference. He was in his home. Stop looking in other people’s windows. Problem solved.

K- except I don’t think having an erection is a lewd act either. ;)
(not that it was reported that he did)
TUG- no shit. I hear ya.

PC- I think he should hire you to be his lawyer in this case to get the charged dropped. ;)

I’m with the majority of people here. I was also annoyed when I heard this story. My opinion (to repeat what others have said): What happens in your own home, is your own business. If you don’t want to see someone walking around naked in their house, don’t look in their windows. What does it matter if he was making coffee, having a beer, doing laundry or dancing around his living room?
EmmyNovember 11th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
I would definitely be pressing charges against her for trespassing AND being a peeping tom. That’s too much.
rageNovember 12th, 2009 at 9:03 am
I call bullshit. The guy was in his own f’n home. She should not have been looking in his house in the first place.
The PanserbjørneNovember 12th, 2009 at 11:24 am
Dammit, you beat me to it, I was going to write up something about this as well. I call this the height of insanity. What the fuck business does she have looking into his window? His house, his property (she cut across his back yard), his privacy is being violated. Indecent exposure, HELL.
Utterly ridiculous.

I happen to know there is a similar law in my town … don’t ask how I know! I think it’s idiotic that I am help responsible for what someone sees when they look into my house, but far too many times that *is* he case!
MNovember 14th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
When I heard this on the radio I was appalled.
A. What the hell is some lady and her kid doing out walking at 5 a.m.?
B. Why were they cutting through his yard?
C. Can he not have HER arrested for tresspassing?
I walk around my house naked daily. It’s probably not a pretty sight and my kids probably wish I’d put some damn clothes on but that’s another story.
What she did is the same thing men do who get charged as peeping toms.
I can’t believe the police actually arrested him!
SuburbanHotwifeNovember 14th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
Wait a minute, he was accused of indecent exposure IN HIS OWN HOME?!?
And she was walking on HIS property?
And it was a pre-dawn hour?
That is freaking ridiculous!!
