So I’ve decided the best way to do this is in two parts. Saturday night was insane, as in we had VIP status at Rok Vegas and closed the club down at 5am. I have a hellova lot of pics from that night. And while we had fun ALL the nights we were there, that one def MADE the trip. But that is for part two ~GRINS~

Friday-
We arrive.  And what do we do?  Start taking pics in the airport!  I’m ok being ‘those kind of tourists’  *snicker*.  I had a cute pic of Roxy…I thought, but damned if I can figure out where it went (weird…).  Between us three girls we had six LARGE bags, *not* including carry on’s, lol.  Hey, fabulous SHOES take up a lot of room people!

We get to our hotel to check in.  This is where we were expecting to be completely overwhelmed by the lights and sounds.  I guess we were expecting it to be like you see on TV, surprisingly enough, not so much!

After checking in, unpacking, etc we head out to buy beer, water and snacks.  Long time pro-drinkers like ourselves know that these things will come in handy.  And while the beer was something like $18 a TWELVE pack (choke!) it was still cheaper and more convenient to have in our room (a la Red Neck style in a cooler, hehe) than ordering some up from room service or making trips up and down to one of the bars.  Beer is good. ~wink~

The hotel had two infamous bars/clubs inside- Coyote Ugly and Rok Vegas.  Which is why we chose this hotel (duh, HELLO!). Hehe…  Hence the sign. BTW, I picked up something perfect for HNT…things to look forward to  ~grins~

You won’t hear me raving about the food on this trip, nothing to write home about.  That’s fo-sho’.  Certainly NOT that we came for the food because we’re lushes like that, lol.  I’m sure we could have searched harder for better food but of the 3 restaurants we ate at while we were there, they all had sucky food.  Dinner our first night included over-priced sandwiches at a place we had only chosen bc they had advertised happy hour on Coors.  Only to find out after we ordered that Happy Hour was only AT the bar.  Damnit.  So we ate, then moved to the bar to take advantage of the earlier mentioned Happy Hour.  My poor sister did her best to stay out of a convo with an incredibly drunk, single guy *dying* to share his life story (at least four times….) with her.

We had decided early on that we wanted to start our first night in Vegas at Coyote Ugly.  We gussied up and headed over.  We quickly discovered one of the other perks of dragging PC along with us everywhere.  Not only does he have pockets, but he takes all the pictures.  So…sadly enough, not so many pics at CU bc we spent a good portion of the night up on the bar.  We had a kick ass time there.  I’m not sure I’ll be able to have as much fun at ours anymore bc the Coyotes in Vegas fucking ROCK.  They were sexy as hell AND very interactive.  There is no ‘not having fun’ there.  They put our Coyotes to shame, making ours look like stuck up betches honestly.  But whatev…

Seriously, my sis has THE. BEST. facial expressions. Haha! Gotta love her!

Cute chick hands us Tuaca pins!  Hmm….  Where to put it?  ~grins~  (Btw, mine is STILL blinking, lolol!)  Not that we drink Tuaca…  *shudder* (I mean, definitely not after last NYE, hahaha…..*ahem*) We did do our fair share of Patron shots though.  Us girls loooooooooooooove us some Patron, CHA-CHING.  But the Coyotes made up for it by giving us free shots the rest of the night.

Ok.  The *only* draw back of the night was that CU doesn’t have restrooms located inside.  In fact.  They don’t even have restrooms on that same FLOOR (CU is on the 2nd floor up a long flight of stairs/escalator).  Restrooms are located on the first level and around a bend.  Annoying, yes.  BUT it gets better/worse.  About 11ish for whatever ungodly reason, the escalators quit working. Mmm….poor planning if you ask me.  Who lets their escalators quit working on a Friday night?!?!  So.  Here we are WALKING down the escalator….bc it’s a known fact that girls people who drink need to visit there frequently. 
(Psstt…notice fabulous shoes!?  Hehe….)

Slept in.  Only woke up with slight hangovers which a sufficient amount of Advil and Starbucks cured.  Oh yes!  There was a Starbucks on the first floor pretty much RIGHT OUTSIDE our elevator.  BOOYA BABY.  A vacation just isn’t a vacation with out Starbucks in the mornings.  Seriously. 

We decide to start our day off with Bloody Mary’s at the Rainforest Cafe.  The NY NY has a nifty little cross over bridge that connects to the MGM.  So off we go.

This by far was our most expensive meal.  Where the 3 of us shared an appetizer and had two drinks a piece, adding up to….$105.  *ahem*  The theme of this trip was mucho mula and how to get the most ‘bang for our buck’.  Interesting Bloody Mary’s too.  They came with kettle chips on top ?????  The kettle chips were better than our appetizer and our drinks.  Doh.

Oh well.  It was the experience (that’s what I keep telling myself anyways, lol).  We did get some great pics for our kiddos.  They also had a fabulous gift shop in which my sister and I found cool, fun gifts for them.

Leave it to my sister to molest the Ape. 

Honestly, the 3 of us wanted to be a lot more inappropriate with the big Ape (don’t judge me! lol) but there were so many children around.  Which shocked the hell out of us.  Hey, I consider myself to be super open minded and a very non chalant parent (hell, one my kiddos favorite restaurants is Hooters *snort*), but it would never even occur to me to bring my kids to Vegas.  Why??????  Yes, I know there are shops (we toured the four story M&M building next door) and shows and entertainment.  But it seems like a very adult charged environment and I wouldn’t want them there.  Where would the fun in that be?!  *LOL*

We had a freakin awesome time walking the entire MGM.  If we were to go back I’d want to stay there.  VERY cool.

We literally made it two blocks.  That is as far as we ever got the entire time we were there.  Doh.  It was *gorgeous* out, super nice weather, we totally lucked out.

This is awful!  WTF?!  It’s a Bubble Butt Blower….  *shaking head*
And no, I did NOT buy one.

So two blocks from our hotel was this Mexican Cantina.  They had 4 Coronas for like $2!  Hey, we’re sold!  SWEET!  Who needs to walk further when you’ve found what you came for!  Hehe….  We spent the entire afternoon there.  Eight or so Coronas later….

We had been eyeing these ginormous margaritas all afternoon that people came in to buy.  When it was time to head back to get ready for dinner (we ended up back at the same Cantina and while their drink specials rocked, their food sucked…:::sigh:::….) we decided we had to try a couple one. Just ONE of those had six shots of Patron in it.  YUM-MY!!!

Sis was intrigued by these guys the entire afternoon.  HAD to have her pic with them. *LOL*
Michael was cool, except for the very disturbing gold thong on the outside of her his pleather pants.  Um…????

Roxy and I had our dreams come true.  We met EDWARD!!!!!  *swoon* 
Seriously he was a fucking kick ass imposter!

Yeah so…right outside our elevator (on the way to Starbucks)  was this giant freezer/fridge thingy of raw meat.  It was utterly disgusting. Please, for the love of god, don’t put a giant see-thru container for RAW MEAT outside a hung-over vegetarian’s place of residence.  Eww ewwww EWWWWW.

Friday Favorites-
Thanks everyone for all the great input last week regarding my ‘right clicking disabled’ dilemma.   Many of you brought up some great points.  One of them being how easy it is to take the pics anyways (although still difficult to maneuver links).  Which is true.  What I had decided though is if someone had decided to disable this on their site, then I would respect that.  In the future what I will be doing is featuring the thumbnails of the hnts I have previous permission and was able to attain their images.  And if not, links I suppose.

Sheesh.  Vegas was….an experience.  A totally, awesome, incredible one.  It was something I wasn’t sure would ever happen.  A surreal experience that me and my two bestest friends (who are also TOTAL party animals) would get to go to SIN CITY of all places (I think Mardi Gras is in our sights next ;).  Anyway. 

Since being back…..
I find my mind reeling so much so that I’m unable to sleep even though I feel *exhausted* all. the. time.

While out there I met a boy.  A completely adorable Marine boy.  I use the term boy bc the kid is uh, young…. (shaking head).  ME who isn’t even into men found myself attracted to and swept up in one.  It would have been a lot easier had it been a female.  So I’m dealing with those emotions/feelings as well (weird!).  Gotta tell ya though….flattered as HELL that some kid would be into me.  ~grins~ 

Since being back….
All I’ve wanted to do is spend time with PC, we’ve sat or laid in bed together talking for hours about my trip and us.  While I had an incredible time, I missed him.  We don’t do much apart.  He works from home, we see a lot of each other.  And rather than be sick to death of one another, it’s just who we are, what our relationship is.  It’s how we’re comfortable and happy and function.

The GOOD news (for me) though is that I feel a lot more like *me* again.  For a bit I’ve felt as if I fell in this rut.  I’d lost my ‘groove’, my flirt….what makes me, ME.  And I’ve found it again.  The fun, flirty, playful me.  Which is who I prefer to like to be.  *happy sigh*

So TFT made it up last night sometime near midnight.  I’m home.  And recovering.  Kind of  *LOL*  We had an absolutely FABULOUS time in a very appropriately named town…..Sin City.  ~wink~

I’m going to get my household and laundry under control.  Sort through my hundreds of pictures.  And get my head out of a beer and Tequila induced fog.  I think I’m *still* recuperating from the one night we closed down one of the clubs at 5am and then didn’t make it to bed until after 9 am.  I haven’t stayed up all night since I’m sure my early 20 raving days.  (doh!)

Once I’ve done that I’ll post a recap.  Fortunately for you guys, not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas (hehe….)  *MUAH!!!*

(it’s amazing we got as good of pictures as we did bc the club had this steam/fog stuff through out it all night, lol)

Well, thankfully what goes to Vegas doesn’t always stay there. My Sweetheart, that’s Vixen to all of you, has landed back in warm Colorado. My life might just get back to normal after all.

I’m sure most of you, just like me, missed a bunch. While it’s good for her to leave on occasion, she should be allowed to take us all with her. Huh?

Anyway, I’m happy she’s home and can’t wait to see her walk through the doors. I’ve missed her a ton. Oh, and Honey, if you’re reading this… I love you!!!

I’ve been doing FF since April of 2007.  And I’ve always asked permission before using pics and always *used* pics to do my FF.  I’m wondering if I need to make a change though considering things…  What do you guys think?

Ok.  So your friend asks you to join her on a GIRLS wkend.  She makes fabulous plans for five of you- daytime activities, dinner reservations, a bit of clubbing.  Several of the friends say “Yay! A girls only weekend, my husband can’t wait to come!”.  Um…what?  They stated that ‘they just don’t spend time apart’ and showed up with their husbands in tow.  As the friend who planned the ‘girls only’ weekend, are you understanding or upset?

To clarify (doh), this has nothing to do with me.  It’s something that came up on a reality TV show I’m almost too embarrassed to tell you I watch (Real Housewives of Orange County).  I personally would be pissed.  Really?  REALLY you must be attached to your spouse’s side 24/7, you can’t get away to have some fun with your girls with out your husband holding your hand???  That screams insecurity and control issues to me.  I feel the same way about the parent that can’t leave their child. It’s healthy to have a life outside of BEING A WIFE, BEING A MOM.  If you are invited on a girls only getaway and can’t leave your spouse behind- stay home!  Don’t bring him along and spoil everyone else’s fun, most especially the host!  If you were invited on adult only vacation would you bring your kids along then too? Nevermind….probably these inconsiderate women would….  *shaking head*

PC doesn’t ‘restrict’ me in any way.  I don’t ever feel as if I need to ‘get away from him’.  I drag him on all my nights out.  I mean, the man has POCKETS!  A huge thing that came up while preparing for our Vegas trip is where do we put all our crap w/o PC along to hold it all for us?!  *LOL*  Seriously though, kidding aside, my 2 bestest friends and I are going on this girls only trip.  This will be the first ever for all 3 of us and we are *giddy* with excitement bc it’s a new and fun experience.  And while I will wholeheartedly miss PC, I don’t feel as if our marriage and relationship will be ‘damaged’ bc I went away with my girls.  Which is how the women on the show made it seem might happen, or that w/o their husbands standing ‘guard’ over them infidelity might ‘happen to them’ (like it’s something you catch and have no control over).  Good lord.  Give me a break.
