We had a totally fabulous New Years Eve. PC and I went downtown with some friends. We began the night with dinner at Bubba Gumps (the only place that didn’t require reservations two months earlier, lol).
Funny story. PC and his friend decide to check their jackets half way through the night (us girls had checked our coats when we first got to the club). The coat check girl *totally* thought they were a couple, when they got back they looked at their claim ticket and…… *giggle*
Midnight. Happy New Years!!!
There was a couple near us COMPLETELY going at it, as in any minute we figured they’d be fucking next to us. I know I’ve gotten hot and heavy in a club before, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never been quite as oblivious as this couple. But you know, what the hell ever, good for them.

Ack. So in other news. I de-Christmasted our house this wkend. While carrying Christmas boxes into the basement I somehow managed to get my navel ring jammed into the hinge of a plastic box I was carrying and almost completely ripped my piercing out.
Um. It hurt. A whole fucking lot. It’s too early to assess the damage but I do know this-
- It hurts like hell.
- Besides the two times I’ve taken it out when I was super duper pregnant, I haven’t seen my ‘normal’ belly w/o jewlery in over 15 years.
- I HATE the way my stomach/belly button looks w/o the pretty peircing/jewelry.
Stupid shit like this only happens to me. I swear.

I know everyone else with kids is sending them back to school today. We have almost two more weeks with our kids off. Oh yea…. Fun times here. Doh.

New Year’s looks like such fun. You guys look adorable (even when re-enacting).
Two more whole weeks with kiddos?? Wow – a better mama than me (boy was I ready)!
I hope you are OK – I have a rep for being the klutzy one around here so stupid hit always happens to me too…

Glad you had such fun on New Years! Love the re-enactment.
I had to have my belly button ring taken out during a surgery. I was already under when they woke me back up asking me how to take it out. I was so out of it I couldn’t function. They then went on to ask me how and why I got it (it was 1993-4? long before they were popular, so it was quite a novelty to them). I went on this story about a drunken bet etc. I guess I was my own one woman show during the lumpectomy!

Looks like you’re catching all of the elements in your montage. I’ve ripped a stich out of my thumb but I can’t imagine what the ripped out belly ring feels like. Hope you can “grow it back”.
