Chasing Wild Horses (Mute Monday)

Chasing Wild Horses documentary.
“This narrow 41 Km sandbar is located 300Km southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Known for hundreds of years as “The Graveyard of the Atlantic”, it is the site of over 275 shipwrecks, and the home of more than 300 wild horses.
It is a world that exists by its own rules, a place with out trees, without shade, and without shelter. It is a place where I have witnessed true peace and unquestionable love among its occupants- the wild horses of Sable Island.” ~Dutesco Art

I know you all are sitting on the edge of your seats, anxiously waiting to hear what we came home from the Stockshow with. (shut up, lol) And the answer is- nothing. Here’s the thing. We have five cats and seven dogs. Bringing home a rabbit or guinea pig would be like hanging a sign on the poor things cage that says “BAIT: DO NOT EAT”. Seriously. It just seems rather cruel to me. To all animals involved. And honestly, while Phoebe (or as PC has nicknamed her- Peebe *snort*) is the cutest thing EVER, she has been awful to housebreak. The girl has no shame, running to squat in front of you after you’ve just spent 10min outside with her coercing her to potty. *SIGH* I have housebroken many (many) puppies and she is by far the most difficult. So to even consider adding more to my plate….uh yeah. No thanks.
Some pictures from the day….
You have to understand why I love this pic of the kitties. The kitty on the right is LP’s. Her name is Alley. She *adores* LP. If you want to find Alley, you look for LP. The gray cat on the left is Riley, the laundry basket is his all time favorite place ever. Both kiddos spent the night with their cousins Sunday night and I’m guessing Alley was lonely bc she decided to join Riley. If you note, the other funny thing about this pic is that Riley is seriously the BIGGEST cat I have ever met. He’s HUGE. While Alley is teeny tiny. But the two are the bestest of friends.
Awww….. *grins*

Happy Monday!!!
The kiddos have the day off of school and this is how I will be spending my Monday morning. *wink*

enjoy the day off with the kids.
Our cats lay in the laundry baskets too. Only I don’t giggle (at all) because they shed like no other and my once clean basket of clothes – not so much anymore. sigh…….
I love the ‘bait’ thought.

Beautiful horse pictures.
Our dog loves the laundry too. He’s way to big to squeeze into the basket, but he’ll snuggle with it if it’s on the floor.

To me, there are few animals more magnificent than wild horses. How wonderful that they exist in this place. Thanks for sharing and Happy Mute Monday!

The last time I was at the fair with my kiddo I had to fight the pleas for the floppy eared bunny…damn it was hard because I really wanted it too. LOL

Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady, you know HOW I am
You know I can’t let you slide through my hands
Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away
I love this song, and I love your post! Happy MM!

I have always loved horses and this really touched me. I remember going horseback riding as a little girl and it was one of my fond memories.
The kitties in the laundry basket are adorable!
