Well, those women would definitely think that it was a BIG don’t that my wedding party went to a strip club the night before the wedding. Yes, Yummy was there with me and he says he got more enjoyment watching the strippers with me than if they would have been with him. I *heart* going with Yummy… couples that play together, stay together… so I guess, we have nothing to worry about. LOL

While I’ve been to my share of clubs, it doesn’t do much for me now. Probably because I’m too cheap :) But I see no problem taking your girl to a strip club. It can be a lot of fun if done correctly ;)

I would have to guess you are being unrealistic in expecting more than 31% of women would have no problem with strip clubs.

I can think of… a mere two women I know (IRL) that would be comfortable accompanying their bf/husbands to a strip joint.

And me personally…
Up until a few years ago I would’ve been one of those saying *OH HEEELLLL NO!* to me going, AND to him going alone. I didn’t mind him going with buddies a couple times a year, but that was the limit of my tolerance. As a matter of fact, I know I have said on more than one occasion – “I will never step foot into a strip club.”
But then again I have personal trauma involving a slutty once-stripper-turned-into-ooops-pregnant-ended-up-wife. So I would be quite biased in that opinion.

Now however, I don’t see a problem with accompanying your man to a strip club every now and then at all. I’ve still never been, so I don’t know if it would be my cup of tea but I’d like to at least go once to find out! :)

I think it’s all really up to the individual.
My opinion is closer to Vixen Kitten’s than the others on here. I don’t have any self esteem issues. I’m happy with my body and myself. I’m ‘ok’ with porn and a little flirting. I’m not the most sexually open (or experienced) person in the world, but like Vixen Kitten the strip club thing is/was a deal breaker for me. Two things bug me about them: 1. There’s something about the idea of paying for sexual attention from someone that doesn’t sit well with me. and 2. I don’t like the idea of the person I’m with getting all worked up at a strip club and coming home and touching me. I know there are arguments against each of my points, but that’s just sexually repressed me.

cause you might smell like a stripper? *scoff…sputter…cough* gawd! i’ve been to strip clubs before. with different bf’s also. i also keep an open mind and reserve any judgement for the extreme situations only.

I guess I’m in the minority here. I am very open sexually, kinda hard to be into BDSM and NOT be open. I have been in more relationships with women than men, and am far more attracted to women than I am men. I have ZERO self esteem issues. I love porn! I just find them strip clubs tasteless. To me, they are the kind of place skeevy men go to get attention from women, who otherwise wouldn’t give them the time of day.

Could be that I have a mighty persuasive smile, and have never had a problem getting a woman I find attractive to dance and take off her clothes for me. *snort*

Honestly, they are a deal breaker for me. Right up there with Nascar and Jerry Springer. I am never going to *click* with someone who sees that as entertainment.

Just my opinion.

I don’t really get it either… but I do agree that most of the women I know who claim to LOATHE strip clubs (and will not allow their husbands to go to them) have major self-esteem issues.

I think probably trust – and the lack of it – plays a big part as well.

Frankly, I have zero desire to go to a strip club, except perhaps to take Vixen and to feed her dollar bills to feed back to the girls.

Back in my early Navy days, I went a few times with some of my buds. In particular, I remember taking Woody, one of our roommates. He was this nerdy, red headed kid with permanently dried milk at the corner of his mouth and covered in giant freckles. Yeah, that kid. He sort of looked like Alfred E Neuman (Mad Magazine).

Anyway, watching the poor kid literally drool was enough to turn me off. The lap dance thing never quite did it for me either. Back then, I would have loved more interaction. But then again, I was still a virgin myself back when we went.

I have nothing against them these days. But it’s still not my scene. I just don’t care of that, porn or anything like that. My imagination is plenty sufficient without such imagery.

What do they mean by you smell like a strip club, what does a strip club smell like? I’ve never noticed any unusual smells.
