Live, peace, love… ~HNT
posted by: VixenAll my tattoos have fairly significant meaning to me. (ok, maybe less so my Playboy bunny…unless you count that maybe back then I wished to be a Playboy Playmate someday. You can chalk that one up to the whim of an 18 yro, ha!) I’ve been asked about one specifically most often, because it’s slightly different.
My parents divorced when I was very young. For my 16th birthday my mother melted down her wedding ring into that of an Ankh, which is the Ancient Egyptian symbol of life, also known to represent the key or joy of life. Somehow, somewhere the ring was lost. Where I swore it had been, it wasn’t…and I never was able to find it. It was quite disheartening.
I got this when I was twenty. It’s three symbols overlapping one another. The first, the largest of them, is an Ankh, the second a peace sign and last one a heart. The key to life….live, peace, love.

I think the most beautiful tattoos are the ones that are the most meaningful. Like this one. Very special.

I love the story behind this bit of ink… I’ve got meaning in most of mine, though there’s the proverbial first tattoo which is less meaningful… (One day I’ll have it covered with something different.) Lovely click through!!

I heart tats. Especially when they have a great story behind them. LOVE the click. The curves are beautiful.
My daughters first tat was an ankh in the exact same spot as her favorite Aunt, my baby sister. It unifies them and is just one more thing they have in comon. Peas in a pod are they. lol
