All my tattoos have fairly significant meaning to me. (ok, maybe less so my Playboy bunny…unless you count that maybe back then I wished to be a Playboy Playmate someday. You can chalk that one up to the whim of an 18 yro, ha!) I’ve been asked about one specifically most often, because it’s slightly different.
My parents divorced when I was very young. For my 16th birthday my mother melted down her wedding ring into that of an Ankh, which is the Ancient Egyptian symbol of life, also known to represent the key or joy of life. Somehow, somewhere the ring was lost. Where I swore it had been, it wasn’t…and I never was able to find it. It was quite disheartening.
I got this when I was twenty. It’s three symbols overlapping one another. The first, the largest of them, is an Ankh, the second a peace sign and last one a heart. The key to life….live, peace, love.

Have you ever been on such a perfectly perfect date? A date where he wines and dines you…. At the most romantic, bestest place ever. Your favorite place. Where he has even arranged for a dozen red roses….which you adore. You feel adored. A bottle of your favorite wine later…. Kissing. Great conversation. He can’t keep his eyes off of you. Or his hands. Especially once you reach the car. And then you know, how sometimes… you just can’t wait until you get home?
