I’m bowing out of TMI again.  The questions are so similar to the year end recap (that I did last year as well) I was going to post as well that I decided to just go that route instead. 

1) Where did you begin 2008?
At the lamest NYE party on earth.  It was cold.  It was a mini high school reunion for a group of these catty ass snarky bitches.  The music sucked ass.  But.  BUT.  I was with PC, so hey, wasn’t all that bad.  ;)




2) What was your status by Valentine’s Day?
Taken.  In love….ENGAGED!!!

3) How did you earn your money?
My spellbounding beauty and flirtatiousness has gotten me far.  You’d be surprised… Or maybe you wouldn’t

4) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Nope. (thank god)

5) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Nope.  I rock!  Doh.

6) Where did you go on holiday/travel?
Wow.  We went a lot of fun places this year….  SR’s for her big bday bash

Arizona, for a super fun River Trip with SR and her gang.

Disney World with ALL the kiddos!

Oh and Jamaica, baby!

And our last trip was to Cali for MY birfday wkend (to be spent with SR and her hottie hubby)

7) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
Ha!  A wedding.  Doh. 

8) Did you know anybody who got married?
Um yeah.  ME.  PC.  Hehe……

No, not personally.

God NO.  LOL!  I try not to move *anywhere*

12) What concerts/shows did you go to?
The BEST we went to was Finger Elven/Hinder/Three Doors Down. It was awesome!!!

Yep…  and this was a fun year for voting.  (not).

14) Where do you live now?
Wouldn’t YOU all like to know!  Bloggerland.  DUH

15) Describe your birthday-
Well.  As I mentioned in #6….we went to Cali to party with SR and her hubby.  We had nakey spa nights, ate yummy mexican food, spent a day at the beach, went to a very cool winery for dinner and drank like fish ;)

16) What’s one thing you thought you wouldn’t do but did in 2008?
Said goodbye to someone I was very close with.  And quit being an enabler.

17) What has been your favorite moment/s?
It’s so hard to choose…
* My wedding was a dream come true.  It was *~perfectly perfect~*.
* Taking the kiddos to Disney World
* Our visits to spend time with SR
* Spending both Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family AND my kids for the first time in over six years.

18) What’s something you learned about yourself?
That I AM stronger than I give myself credit for.
I can be assertive and stand up for myself.

19) Any new additions to your family?
Yeah.  I think we have covered that with the two new Christmas kitties.  LOL  Daisy was an awesome addition, I am in. LOVE. with that little girl.

20) What was your best month?
August.  I *LOVE* summer…..but mainly bc of the wedding.  So many great friends came in for it and it was SUCH an awesome finale to a great summer and what months and months of planning had led up to. 




21) What music will you remember 2008 by?
Hinder, Three Doors Down, Katy Perry, Flyleaf and Slip Knot actually came out with a song I LIKE.  I know!  Right?!  LOLOLOL

22) Who has been your best drinking buddy?
My sister and SR.

23) Made new friends?
Of course!  That is what I love about Bloggerland.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Not a huge fan of the gift bags for the kids.  I feel as if part of the FUN of present opening is ripping into the paper.  For an adult- eh. It’s fine.  I use both equally for adults and for myself, really don’t care either way.  Honestly, as long as you just don’t hand it to me and say “here”, I’m good!

2. Real tree or Artificial?
REAL.  I have mentioned several times how it seems NO ONE buys real trees anymore. I love going to GET the tree, putting it up, the smell of pine through out the entire house.  Love, love, love ‘em!

3. When do you put up the tree?
The wkend after Thanksgiving.  Which um, means this wkend, TODAY.

4. When do you take the tree down?
I’m pretty sick of the tree come xmas.  That smell-of-pine-novelty wears off, lol.  But I usually am able to refrain myself until the day after.  Doh.

5. Do you like eggnog?
I like eggnog creamer in my coffee.  I used to love Starbucks Eggnog lattes too…..until the stupid girl working there ruined it for me last year by telling me when I ordered my latte ‘extra hot’ I was risking the ‘egg’ being cooked too long.  Greeeeaaaaat.  Thanks for that. (bitch)  Don’t tell some OCD chick who has food issues that she might have COOKED EGG in her coffee!

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
I can’t remember.  Every xmas gift I got involved something ‘horse related’ that I had been pining after for months (new riding clothes, horse blankets, bridles, halters, etc).  I loved ALL of my gifts, ALWAYS bc of that.

7. Hardest person to buy for?
He’s going to hate me for saying this.  But PC.  I love the element of surprise. I HATE having to *ask* someone what they want. I take pride in just knowing and coming up with really great, awesome gifts.  But he has a habit of buying himself everything he wants bc he wants it right.now.  It always works itself out though and I end up happy with what I surprise him with.  :)

8. Easiest person to buy for?
Oh that would be my kiddos.  I can always think of a bagillion things they would love.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Oh… No.  *grimace*

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
I can’t remember who’s site I was just on where this was discussed.  It’s just not right to EMAIL an xmas card!  They have to be sent, in an envelope, with a stamp.  THAT constitutes a TRUE xmas card in my book.  I love to put all our cards received on display and if they are all in my inbox, how in the hell can I do that?!!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
At the risk of hurting someone’s feelings…  Ok.  Whatever.  It was the (non) wedding proposal from the ex.  He had asked what I wanted for xmas, I pointed to my left ring finger and said “a ring for this finger” (hinting for the hundredth millionth time how I wanted to get engaged).  On xmas morning I opened a box with a ring in it.  Beautiful ring.  But that was “IT”.  Two days later his parents asked me in confidence if it was a marriage proposal and I had to respond with…. “I think so”.  I hate to say it was the ‘worst’ but it was pretty disappointing.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
Elf!  LOL

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
Usually after Thanksgiving, through the month of December. I am NOT the person who has their shit together enough to do that whole pick up things here and there through out the year.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
LOL no….not that I haven’t wanted to on occasion though.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
That would have to be Starbucks Gingerbread with the super yummy cream cheese frosting OR their Cranberry Bliss bars.  I’m not a huge fan of sweets and breads but I adore those items.

16. Lights on the tree?
Um. Yes. I like them.  LOL  ???  We have twinkling lights.  They are pretty.  (lmao…what exactly is being asked here???)

17. Favorite Christmas songs:

I think we may go to my sister’s on Christmas Day this year since my mom (ahem) has decided she’s too old (rolling eyes) to drive to our house anymore.  But as far as like leaving the state, no, we always talk about going to visit PC’s family for Christmas but so far that hasn’t happened yet.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Yes.  I’m sure you can guess which one is my favorite too. ;)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
I’m kind of partial to an angel.  For years my mom had this really creepy weird CLOWN that went up on the tree.  Don’t ask…..  Seriously though, I still think I occasionally have nightmares about it.  *shudder*

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Christmas morning!  Growing up we did have a tradition that we could open *one* present the night before.  One year my sister and I had been eying this HUGE ass box under the tree to both of us.  We were dying to know what it was.  So when xmas eve came and we were allowed to choose, we decided on that one.  We ripped into it only to discover my dad and step mom had wrapped up their old used pots and pans from the kitchen.  Lesson learned- the biggest is not always the best.  I have not followed that tradition with our kiddos.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
I really do love Christmas time.  But I guess it would be how goddamned cranky some people get. They get caught up in the rush rush and the spirit of Christmas is lost on them.  Sad.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
I have favorite ornaments.  But they are all different from each other.  There isn’t a particular ‘theme’ I love more than another….except I like the more traditional ones.  NOT a fan of the glass balls.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Being a vegetarian, I’m not a fan of most traditional food such as ham or turkey.  So…none.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?
My two front teeth.

Or Cole Haan riding boots. Preferably the boots.  ;)

Here goes……

1- Fake meat made from soy is disgusting and stupid.  Example- I don’t eat ground beef bc I find the taste and most especially the texture revolting.  So…why would I want something identical made from SOY?!  *puke*  That said.  I find veggie corndogs *TDF*.  NOT veggie dogs.  Those are rubbery and nasty.  But the CORNDOG kind.  I seriously could eat them daily.  With ketchup and mustard, of course.  Bc after all, it is all about the sauce (TUG! it IS!). ;)

2- I love to be barefoot but rarely walk around that way.  I hate for the crumbs, dirt, doghair….other microscopic pieces to get on my feet.  It wigs me out.  The WORST is to step in something wet.  Like if one of the kids drips water from the sink. Or the dogs drip leaving the water bowl.  Yes, I know it’s my OCD. I have issues, lol.  PC says I’m the female version of Monk.  (lol) Anyways.  So I wear my Crocs, flip flops or Ugg slippers always.  Not *real* shoes, that would be weird (doh!), my comfy shoes.

3- My morning drink of choice is Starbucks extra hot, non-fat Caramel Machiato.  In my perfect world there would be one with in walking distance from my house.  Unfortunately living in the country where we do, that will not be happening anytime soon.  Or probably ever.  LOL (you’d have to know where we live)

4- I love Christmas time.  I know people bitch about how ‘commercialized’ it’s become.  But for me even the way the stores and malls gear up for it is exciting to me.  The holiday flavors that Starbucks bring out for this time of year.  The excitement in the air, the festivities such as night time Christmas parades, sleigh rides, ice skating…  Having the Christmas tree up.  Baking the dozens upon dozens of Christmas cookies and breads.  Even wrapping presents is fun for me.  Call me crazy.

5- I have an exceptional memory.  For stupid shit.  That nobody really cares about.  Numbers.  Dates.  Things people have said or done.  Things that have happened in my life.  Memories.  But ask me to remember a shopping list….I will always forget something.  Math skills?  Things I learned in school?  Unless I use them daily, I forget them as fast as I learn them.  Figures.  If I could remember important things like I can random shit… my life would be made (doh).

6- Pink is my favorite color.  :)  But just recently I’ve decided I really love pink with brown.

1. I HATE lime imitation flavoring …limeade is ok (REAL limes) anything else NO! *shudder*

2. I’m a total girly girl.  I get my nails done every other week (toes 1-2x/month).  My mental health falters when I don’t.  Freshly done, pretty nails make me GIDDY.

3. I hate to be cold.  Hate, hate, HATE it.  In my perfect world it’s 80 plus degrees all.the.fucking.time.

4.  I am a vegetarian (I’m sure this is a well known fact here, but it’s such a huge part of who I am, it’s worth mentioning again, lol).  No beef, chicken, pork….  I have serious ‘meat issues’.  It began with steak when I was a child and continued to grow….adding more and more things to the list of things “I couldn’t fathom eating”.  It has nothing to do with how I feel about animals and everything to do with the way it smells, looks, tastes, the texture.  ….disgusting….  [shudder]  Although I do love fish.

5. My father (unknowingly) forced me to drink spoiled milk when I was nine.  I haven’t drank milk since.  The very thought of it is utterly revolting. 

(It’s becoming apparent my ‘food issues’ in general isn’t it?  Doh.)

6. My drinks have to be either ice cold or super hot.  In between gives me a gut ache.

7. I’m *terrified* of elevators and have been since I was a child.  It takes everything in me to get into one, I avoid them whenever possible.  I have actual nightmares about either being trapped in one (which also creeps dangerously into my claustrophobic issues….) or being in one that looses control and falls.  You will NEVER see me ride The Tower of Doom or any ride like it.  That ride was SO totally NOT made for someone with elevator issues like mine.  I break into a cold sweat thinking about it.

I know I’m supposed to tag people now and I do love a good tag team ~wink~ but I can never remember who has done this one and who hasn’t.  There are a ton of people I would love to learn 7 more things about though!  So if you decide to accept this challenge then make sure to let me know!

This weeks TMI is not my thing.  I’m a girly girl through and through and I am going to just use that as my out, lol.  So here is a meme spin off of last weeks TMI.  I believe I originally stole this from insanely hot Biscuit.

1. What was your high school decade?
The 80′s/early 90′s.  Graduated in ’91. We had some kick ass hair in those days. Letmetellyou.  *snort*

2. Are you still friends with your high school friends?
Per se. I met Mojito when I was IN junior high, but not the same one.  And we are still friends.  I have a kindofsortof (I’m beyond pissed at him right now) friend from HS.  Besides that….no.

3. What was your favorite thing about high school?
God.  I’m not sure.  It was a weird era for me.  I was a straight A, perfect GPA student with a steady boyfriend whom I thought I would marry…with a naughty explorative side I hid pretty well….  I hit my Senior year and Senioritis HIT.  Drugs.  Drinking. Lying.  An old boyfriend and I reconnected and became a hot ‘thing’ (AH).  My mom kicked me out. 

But still I think I am going to say my Senior year.  It’s when I finally became ‘me’ (not that who I am is drinking/drugs/lying….lmao….but you see what I’m saying…I hope, right?!)

4. Your least favorite?
Gah.  My sophmore year.  It just wasn’t ‘me’ and lots of life changes and I was a total wall flower.  But at the same time…  I gave my all to HS boyfriend and I wished I had spent more time being ME.

5. Did you have a high school sweetheart? And how did that work out?
I did.  After almost 4 years together he decided he wanted to see what the grass was like on the other side of the fence.  While he did that I reconnected with a close friend/guy I had had an insane crush on since my freshman year (AH) and we hit it off at a party and the rest is history.  Of course the HS boyfriend decided THEN that I was truly who he wanted to be with. Yeah…sorry.  His loss. Right? ;)

6. Would you do the whole high school thing again, or is it better left in the past?
OMG no.  OH NO NO NO NO.  No thankyou.  ROFL

Kiddos spent the night with their NN so PC and I took the opportunity to go on a date.    He took me to Benihanas…:::drool:::…  It’s really pretty hard to decide which I love more…  Their Colorado Rolls (tempura shrimp, avacado, cream cheese and jalepenos), salad, soup, fried rice or plum wine?  Hell.  I don’t have to decide. I had them all!  HA!  I think I am seriously addicted to wasabi and soy.  It’s all about the sauce baby….all. about. the. sauce.  Mmmm….

Also spent the morning at the B&B, having our final meeting before the wedding.  It went really well.  Put our, ok ok….lol, MY mind at ease about many things. The menu is decided upon.  How the day will go is set.  We placed the order for the alcohol.  The man who runs the B&B seriously now knows what lushes I am we are.  Oh and our friends.  Seriously.  LOL!  PC’s son will be here in 8 days… Mojito and her hottie hubby in 9…  OMGOMGOMG….  T minus 12 days and counting.  Booyah baby!

This weeks TFT is up and I love, love, love the girls (AND GUYS!!!) who continue to contribute to the site.  BUT most importantly, show their support for our troops.  Bc after all, that is what the site is about.  It doesn’t matter whether you support our current president (believe me…I get emails regarding that), whether you know someone in the military, whether you are related to anyone who has served or is in the military, whether YOU served in the military (btw, Dana from Amid Life’s Crisis *HAS*).  What it’s all about is wanting to show your/our support for the troops.  To boost their moral.  Bc we are Americans and really….who’s to say that’s not enough?

The lovely Evening tagged me a ridiculously long time ago (sorry!!!).  And I’m just now finally
brilliant enough to do it.  Oh no, not that it was that
hard to come up with them.  But bc it was that hard to narrow it down.  DOH!

1) Hot drinks/foods have to be VERY hot.  Cold things must be VERY cold.

2) It’s all about the sauce baby. Food is just a vehicle for sauce.

3) I’m so OCD my issues have issues.

4) I really hate to talk on the phone.  I never answer my phone.  The
only two people I actually ‘talk’ to on a regular basis and for any
length of time is my sister and PC.  Having to talk on the phone,
making phone calls seriously causes me anxiety.    Obviously my calling
is not as a telemarketer…or phone sex operator.  (LOL!)

5) Things I’m insanely afraid of are: heights, claustrophobia and elevators.  I can be in high up places *as long as I feel safe*.  Weird, possibly, I know.  It takes everything with in me to get on an elevator.  It’s a childhood fear and I have worked really, really, REALLY hard to suppress my anxieties so that I can get on one when I have to.  But before entering one I always ‘assess’ it’s safety (and if anything remotely sets off my inner alarms….ok, more than normal, lol) and then practice deep breathing techniques the entire time I’m in it.

6) I’m the anti-girl when it comes to chocolate and ice cream.  I don’t
care for either and I could totally go through life with out having
either ever again.  (although I did finally try DQ’s Thin Mint Blizzard last night, after Os and TUG talked it up so much I wanted to try it, I had my five bites and was good.  But it was yummy, lol….  The Thin Mints sold me!)
