Monday…..in bullets (again)
*Sleep over with the cousins at our house, then hit the pool on opening day. Which turned out to be in the 90′s. *PERFECT*
*Got into a pissing match with some punk ass 12yro kid who kept insisting I was ‘cutting into line’ at the concession stand at the pool. ….Listen punk, I’m paying for these 4 kids snacks that have clearly been standing in line IN FRONT OF YOU for fucking 10minutes. Seriously?! This is how you talk to an adult. Wanted to bitch slap that kid. …..I’m all mature like that. *snort*
*Had an entire weekend without kiddos when they decided to stay at their cousins several nights in a row . Leaving us a chance to have some adult fun.
*Enjoyed outdoor patio drinks with awesome girlie friends (PC included, he is after all an honorary girl) on Friday. Drinks meaning beers that turned into rounds (yes plural) of Patron shots one beer in. And an entire night of conversation revolving around sex. Oh. And a completely goofy conversation where SHE kept insisting she didn’t think she was my type. ….Hon, you are hotter than hell. I’m pretty sure that is quite my type. HELLO!
PC’s such a sport, at one point he was even picking up guys for one of the girls at our table. Ha! Not that we probably needed much help. Three overtly flirtatious party girls at that bar….trouble. Just sayin….
*Woke up with a bruise ‘the size of Canada’ on my ass cheeks (as I told my FB friends) Saturday morning. After an hour of being completely stumped as to where the hell it could have come from, it occurred to me…. The patio chairs from the bar the night before! DOH! I was wearing a little sundress and despite the alcohol had become increasingly more aware that my bony ass was sore from sitting on these metal, waffle cut out chairs. Which is when we began mingling more I believe. It involved less sitting. *ouch*
*Mid day beers and appetizers at Rock Bottom. Btw…their spinach and cheese dip is *TDF*.
*Went to see Robin Hood. If you can withstand 30min of set up *yawn* you’re good to go. Movie gets better and worthwhile seeing.
*Weird dining experience at our favorite sushi restaurant. Um…okay….. But Plum Wine and Sushi- YUM!
*Finally, FINALLY watched Dear John three times. Love, love LOVED the book…but the movie? You will not catch me kicking Channing Tatum or Amanda Seyfried out my bed. JUST. SAYIN! *swoon*
*Had to cancel a pool date. Boo! 90 one day, less than 50 the next. *shaking head*
*Experienced mini panic attacks combined with insomnia through out the weekend. Not a good combination. Feeling…completely overwhelmed.
Breathe…..just. breathe.
*Long talk with PC, change of plans in upcoming weeks. Better game plan…. I think. *deep breaths* It’s going to be ok. Things are ok.

It’s Memorial Day. Take a moment to remember what this day means. It’s more than just an extra day off of school/work for family picnics…… I’ve been thinking about my young Marine friend recently. We chat every so often. Me and my ‘not sleeping habits’ means he is able to catch me at random times. The time difference is crazy in Afghanistan. He drifts between utter depression and complete euphoria. Which is completely understandable but at the same time difficult for me to grasp… While his friends at home are bitching about complete randomness, like school being ‘hard’. Meanwhile a kid he knew was blown up 15′ from him. *shaking head* I honestly, can’t fathom. So I guess on a day like Memorial Day, you give thanks and special appreciation. To the ones you love, as well a those you don’t who have and/or will risk their lives.
