Besides the completely annoying insomnia I suffered two nights in a row, it was an excellent weekend. Our weather has been *BEAUTIFUL*. Finally, FINALLY, we are getting some mild weather (after we broke records for our super cold temps in the early fall…figures!).
We enjoyed an incredibly romantic dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory Saturday night. We flirted shamelessly, giggled, drank these marvelous Peach Margaritas (ok, the non-frozen one wasn’t so great, as much as I love me some Tequila…I usually don’t like to feel like I’m doing a shooter of Patron per sip, lol), and couldn’t keep our hands off each other. Attacking each other the minute we stepped foot in the house. Our entire weekend was like that. I LOVE those kind of weekends….. *happy sigh* I only wished when I was sitting wide awake at 2am the other night, watching Pineapple Express alone (ugh!), admiring my sexy hunk of a man sleeping dreamily next to me that I’d had enough sense to wake him up so that I could have some um….’help’ getting to sleep!

Saturday was the last day of soccer for the kiddos. Weather held out and we were able to spend the afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch. Unfortunately due to our record breaking super cold temps this fall, pumpkin picking was rather sad. We still had a good time though.
AND as luck may have it, it snowed and was super cold (again) on Sunday, so we ended up having choosen a good day to go! The kiddos and I spent the day carving their pumpkins and baking pumpkin seeds. Fun times.

Kiddos had a sleep over at their cousins house Saturday night. And on a whim I got a tattoo (#6 for anyone counting)! I’ve had the itch to get another one for going on three years, especially so this last year. I had several places in mind where I would get my next one and actually planned on one place and changed my mind last second (which is soooooo totally unlike me and my OCD, haha!). I’m very happy with how it turned out. I think PC’s hand is even mostly still in tact *LOL*
P.S….it hurt like a sonofabitch along my back bone and shoulder blades….I wonder if being less boney meatier would have helped any. Hmm….

Oh let it snow, let it snow, let it snow……
It began Friday night (lucky us getting to drive home from dinner in the dark. At night. On the highway. In the first snow storm of the year. Yay…:::groan:::…) and this is what we woke up to Saturday morning. The kiddos were up bright eyed and bushy tailed to get outside and play in it. Thank gawd I was prepared (Go me!) and had already bought them new coats, mittens and boots.
The downside is it’s been colder then hell. Brrrr….. But hey, at least the kids enjoyed the snow!

I opted out of the Creed concert Saturday night. Our weather has been fucking cold chilly, wet and blah. After my all day, outdoor excursion with LP’s class Thursday….where I came home RE-SICK, I was worried. PC was worried. LP was disappointed. Mommy guilt sucks. :( PC still went with friends, where he froze his ass off, but did have a really good time (and he didn’t even used to really like Creed! LOL). As bad as mommy guilt sucks, I think we made the right decision. We’ve promised to take her to some other concerts next spring. When it’s like *WARM* again. (doh)
Have you ever missed an opportunity (due to stupidity) and then proceeded to KICK YOURSELF daily, like every moment after wards, continuously? Yeah….. Hind sight’s a bitch man. Seriously! Grrr…..

Both kiddos had their first soccer games this weekend. Which leads me to my next thought. WTF is up with some parents?!?! There should be a ‘parents must refrain from being asshats’ disclosure before you can attend any of your kids games. Seriously. PC and I decided to tag team the kids games this wkend and bwtn the things he overheard and the parents I had to deal with, it makes me question why we encouraged our kids to even be in organized sports. We are talking about 10 and 6 year olds here. Gah… I can guarantee you that if anyone makes nasty ass comments about our kids like they were to some of the other kids, shit is going to go down. Ridicilousness I’m telling you.
PC had a pretty good birthday I think, despite both of us being sick all weekend. He treated us to Starbucks, which has become a nice thing to look forward to on Sundays. Yes, yes, I know, HE should have been treated but YOU try telling him no when he insists on something at 7am (lol). LP threw him a tea party. She had been planning it for over a week and was beyond estatic to do that for him. Awww…. (Hehe) I don’t have pictures of that. BUT what I was fortunate to get a picture of was dinner at Hooters when the girls made him climb up on a chair and shake his tail feathers. Anyone who remembers his bday downtown two years ago, can recall him attempting to chug beer and hoola hoop at Coyote Ugly. As he puts it- his hips are directly connected to his shoulders, so he doesn’t have much wiggle to his hips. *snort* Still horribly cute to see. And the best part was that he played along in the first place. ~wink~

It was a shitty weekend weather-wise. Fall slammed it’s ass right into us, giving a small taste of what’s to come. It was short lived thankfully….. I mean our summer was icky enough I’d like to at least enjoy *some* part of an Indian Summer. The kiddos went to spend part of the weekend with their grandparents. They had wanted to do something special with LP for her birthday. Which gave PC and I the perfect opportunity to spend a day snuggled up in bed. ~grins~ Followed by a romantic dinner at Carrabas and some hot tubbing in the rain. Fun times….. (hehe)
I didn’t get to mentioning it last week….. But I started running again last Thursday. Much to mine, Britney, Mick and Daisy’s (my furry running partners) relief. Ahhh……
AND bc my foot has finally gotten to a mostly-healed-not-quite-as-tender point, I was able to get a pedicure (FINALLY!!!). *WOOT!!!* Ahhh….. Pretty toes again. *happy sigh*
Oh. And fuck. I had decided on which route I wanted to go with my costume. And that came to grinding halt when I realized that ….OH. HELL. NO…. was that going to work. *damnitgrumblegrumble* Fuck. So. Back at the drawing board this chickie goes. Trying to stick with the same *idea* just needing a different costume. ….:::sigh:::…..

PC and I went to see Blink 182 and Weezer Sunday night. The main objective being to pee where public bathrooms were made available before leaving the concert. And to avoid dark parking lots with hidden embankments and glass. Um…just sayin….. More on this later. *yawn*

This whole being laid up thing is really starting to get to me. I don’t do well when I can’t run. Much less when I can barely walk or go anywhere or do anything. This reminds me of when I broke my ankle freshman year of HS by stepping off a flight of stairs two steps short of the landing (#345 on Vixen’s ever growing and *long* list of ‘stupid/klutziest moments’). THAT was fun. NOT. I’m finding it incredibly hard to not fall face first into a funk bc I have nothing that I can do to clear my head but sit. Oh but wait. And sex! Ok, that actually does help. [grins]
Watched a most disturbing and fucked up movie, Surveillance. Seriously it was. But in a sick, twisted, can’t stop watching it, gotta know how it ends sort of a way. I’d recommend it if you like thriller/drama/murder/mystery’s. It’s good, just really fucked up.
The highlight of the weekend was totally yummy sushi at my favorite sushi restaurant Saturday night. Mmmm…… Veggie Tempura Rolls. *drool*
So. New week. I had to cancel on a commitment I made to LM’s teacher to help out last Friday bc of my stupid injury. I was *hoping* to be up to it by Monday and I guess I’m just being completely moronic and/or unrealistic….. *frustrated SIGH*

You all are going to be sooooo jealous when I tell you who I spent my Saturday with. ~wink~
Barefoot Dreamer! Anyone who follows her blog knows her and her family have been on a vacation/road trip. When I found out she was going to be near my neck of the woods I stalked her down wooed her into hooking up. So Saturday her family and mine met in Estes Park to spend the day hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). It’s one of my favorite places to go. Six kiddos and four adults….we were most definitely out numbered, lol. We hiked around the lake and then most of the way up to some falls. The kids (all of them under 10yrs) were complete troopers! Hell, even BD and her hubby’s (who is hubba hubba hot btw, they make a gorgeous couple!) stamina was impressive in our exceptionally high altitude. We had a most excellent time!

LP and I went to see The Proposal on Sunday. I’d been dying to see it and am SO glad we made the effort to go. SUPER cute and funny. Absolutely *loved* it. Before the movie we ran into an old acquintance, pre-divorce. Which always makes for some super fun and uncomfortable moments… (gah) The last time I ran into her was equally uncomfortable, she is one of those people that if I were describe what she does, I would say that she has babies. She’s since had one more, bringing the total to 6 kiddos. Interesting family, she’s an amazing mother. Too bad friendships fail with marriages. *sigh* Oh well.

In the meantime, Halloween is a BIG thing for us in our household. LM has been searching for/thinking/talking about his upcoming costume, searching through magazines, both new and old that we either had or have arrived in the mail for the possible ‘PERFECT’ costume for months. He is Halloween *obsessed*…. I admit though, he comes by it honestly. I have literally been obsessing thinking about this upcoming Halloween since last Halloween. I have it narrowed down to two costumes. I actually HAD the perfect costume plan all year until I stumbled upon THE. MOST. FABULOUS. SHOES. EVER. Sunday. It has opened up the possibility for so much more!!! *biting lip* How to choose?! BTW, the choices are bwtn a Burlesque Dancer and a Pin-Up Swim suit model…. (I’m not including links bc like I want to give anyone ELSE ideas!!! I pride myself in having unique, awesome costumes and I don’t want to relive LAST YEARS issue. DOH!)
