My birthday is Monday… PC, BFD and I are headed to Vegas to celebrate in style.  Corsets, little black dresses, heels and bikinis are packed (you haven’t seen nothing until you see PC in a LBD and stilettos! *giggle*).

Roxy and Quicksilver got in Friday evening.  We took them to our favorite sushi restaurant then headed home to hop in the hot tub with beer and Donnie (Don Ramon Tequila for newbies or those who don’t pay attention).  Mmmmm……  Everyone passed out cold, exhausted not long after midnight.

Saturday…
After dropping the kiddos off with their cousins, we headed downtown to check into our hotel and begin the ‘gussying up’.  For the girls anyway…the guys planned on catching a nap and watching some sports TV.

Show time!  We had 7:00 reservations at our favorite Mexican/Margarita place.  Our hotel was only a couple blocks off the main drag, very near the Coyote Ugly we planned on ending up at after dinner.  Perfect, inadvertent planning on our part.  No problem! -(normally) because there is a free shuttle/bus system that will haul you anywhere you like along the main street in the Downtown area.  Except for this one night everything was shut down to due road work.  Hmm.  Really?!?!?! On a SATURDAY night?!?!?  After walking 800 blocks (ok, I might be exaggerating a tiiiiny bit) and Roxy and I already had blisters forming on our feet from our heels (which are NOT made for hiking!) we tell our guys that this shit isn’t gonna fly.  They save the day, like the true Prince Charmings that they are, and hire a Rickshaw to take us the other 50 (only slightly exaggerating) blocks.  (((our feet)))

So.  Later (finally) at the restaurant.  MARGARITAS!!!

It’s time for shots.  Because I was the birthday girl, I was offered a free sopapilla (snort….she clearly did not know me very well) or a shot (NOW we’re talking!) of Jose Cuervo (oooooooooooooooh HELL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)…  I believe PC took that shot for me.  The shot we DID all do was from a bottle of blah-blah-blah 1960something tequila.  I really should remember this shit.  Mainly bc…it was seriously THE. BEST. SHOT I’ve ever had in my life.  Which for the price…good thing *wink*  Quicksilver said next time he was going to buy an entire bottle.  YUM-MMMMY.  (seriously!!!)

Alright.  We sucked up enough of our fabulous waitress time.  Time to head out.  Well….so much for hoping the bus system would be back up and running again.  500 blocks later (OuCh….) we’re at Coyote Ugly.  Roxy has to ditch her heels.  Her feet are done.  I’ve luckily drank enough that while my Cole Haans that I *adore* are super comfy and my *favorite perfect black heels*….they have tore my feet up as well.  No matter how well made and comfortable heels are, they were never intended to walk hike hundreds of miles.  Seriously NOT a happy camper with the people responsible for this inconvenience of NOT running the bus system that night.  *grumble grumble*

Yeah um….those silly boys.  Not that we didn’t all know PC loves it up the ass.  *giggle grins*

So.  At some point in the night, I ran into the edge of the table.  Not just ‘ran’ into the edge of the table, but like rammed my pelvic bone into it.  It hurt like a fucking son of a bitch at the time but I blew it off.  Until the next morning when I was insanely sore.  And then that evening when I could tell- damn something was up.  Um.  Yeah…I’ve never hurt my pelvic bone like this before.  When something bleeds and becomes black and blue…  Well.  It’s a good sign you’ve done something beyond traumatic to your va-jay-jay

After using Bloglines for over five years, to follow all my favorite feeds…it’s closing down as of Oct 1.  To say I am bummed would be a serious understatement.  I been a loyal user to say the least.  It’s easy to use.  Easy to follow.  Etc.  I have begun looking into other means, other RSS feeders.  As I’ve mentioned, I don’t do well with change. I hate change.  If I like something, most especially have loved it enough to continue to use for the past five years, I want it to stay the same.  All the other RSS feeds out there have this drawback or that…it’s not the same.  And therefore I’m feeling bitchy about it.  *humpf*

I’ve had a tough week.  Stuff I’m not really wanting to get into at the moment, in this post.  Roxy and Quicksilver arrive Friday evening.  PC’s birthday was Monday, mine will be Sunday.  We always get together with Roxy for a big ole birthday bash of sorts.  Very much looking forward to going out with a bunch of friends and letting loose.  I need to forget for a bit….  Let the good times roll.

The kiddos go back to school next week.  I had fabulous plans of spending a few more days soaking up some sun before the pool closed (sun goddess—>ME), had promised them a day at the water park in Six Flags, the splash pad at the park….  All of which were thrown out the window when LP continued to spike a fever between 100-103 (plus…), wavering between the appearance of death smeared on toast and being backed over (several times) by a Mack truck.  The poor thing had been sick since the previous week.  Just when I thought she was perking up, her fever would spike and she’d visibly go down hill again.  A trip to the Dr…..she has pneumonia.  Hell of a way to spend your last hoorah before going back to school.  The ladies in the Dr’s office were perplexed to see things like the stomach flu and pneumonia during the summer months (both of which my children have been plagued with this summer).  So while one child was incredibly sick.  The other grew incredibly bored bouncing off the walls with more and more ants in his pants (which I can’t blame him, I don’t do well day in and day out sitting at home, I am my ‘best’ on the go with little down time).

Fun times my friends…..not.

We also had a fun filled weekend with friends that we’ve had to cancel.

OMG we had the best weekend!  Picked up Roxy and Hottie Hubbie from the airport Friday night, enjoyed a yummy (but veeeeeeery late) dinner at Bennihana’s, kiddos and boys passed out once home, Roxy and I hot tubbed it until 2:00 am (*yawn*).  The next day (it’s your birthday, it’s your birthday…..woot, woot!) PC surprised me with Starbucks (Venti Nonfat Xtra Hot Caramel Macchiato…MMMmmmm…..) and a dozen red roses.  He also gave me the most adorable little dress from AE. I’ll model it sometime for you. ~wink~  We spent a luxurious afternoon getting our toes done then headed downtown to check into our hotel and get ready.

And amazingly despite all that I had to drink AND all those shots (I am NOT a shot person unless we’re talking JELLO shots, lol) I wasn’t hardly hung over.  Felt a little rough but definitely functioning (although spacey as hell, doh).  I’ve never seen PC drink as much as he did that night.  He’s such a trooper!  He’s annoying in that he never has hangovers (lol).  I felt a little badly that Roxy and her Hottie Hubbie had to get on a plane feeling the way they did.  But hey, that is a true sign of a good wkend had!  AND….there is talk they might be able to come out for HALLOWEEN!!!! Halloween is a HUGE holiday for us (if you hadn’t already figured that out yet, hehe…). 

So yeah.  Off to bed.

My whole family has been sick.  Sick SICK for over a week now.  Beginning with the kiddos two weeks ago (who are still kinda sick, btw), then PC and me……  This thing has kicked my ASS.  I never get sick and it’s ridden me in a way that’s made me feel as if a Mack truck mowed me down (edited to make Roxy quit bitching at me, lmao).  In true PC form, he was awesome, taking care of me.  *thank god*  Wouldn’t it figure just as I begin to feel better (and we have amaaaaaaaaaaazing weak in the knees sex to make up for me being so dead to the world earlier in the week) he’s the one super sick now.

Blech.

Tomorrow is my birthday.  Roxy and her hottie hubbie are flying in to celebrate, in true ‘us’ fashion we are having a celebratory party weekend.  *WOOT!*  It’s become Roxy and mine thing….to spend our birthdays together.  It’s been several years since she’s been able to come here.  We have an *excellent* party district.  Look out Coyote Ugly here we come!

Absolutely fabulously perfect weekend away.  It was hot and beautiful, we had an awesome time.    And we ate.  A LOT.  And drank.  A LOT.  Doh.  Somewhere in between the eating and drinking we also enjoyed the giant bubbble bath spa, made our way down to Newport Beach (which was overcast and freezing chilly) for some shopping, sunned/gossiped by the pool (back inland where it was like, WARM) and spent our last evening at a romantic little winery.
 
I don’t have all my pictures downloaded and I want to exchange them with SR first….but until then here is a couple teasers.  *grins*

Um…ouch. Apparently this happened in the spa???  When?  How?  Mysteriously woke up with it Sunday morning.  Warning:  Combining alcohol and cement spas may cause injury.  DOH.

Well.  It seems I’ve managed to make it further into my mid *cough* thirties.  Today.  ~grins~

Because PC travels so much for business he earns some pretty wicked perks.  Such as free airline tickets.  Last year SR and her hottie hubby came here for a super fun wkend to celebrate my birthday.  Seeing they were just out here for the wedding, it seemed only fair that we use PC’s rewards to go out there to celebrate. 

So…..the kiddos are going to their grandparents and PC and I are catching a mid day flight to Ca for the wkend.  I think the plan is to spend time with good friends, drink, relax, drink, let loose, drink and just have a kick ass time (drinking….lol).  This is us we are talking about here, most likely nakedness will be involved sometime in this agenda.  Hehe…  SR and I have agreed that we need to take many, many pictures.  I promise to share upon my return.

PC and the kids took me out for an early birthday dinner at Carraba’s Tuesday night.  It was completely yummy and *TDF* as usual.  I thoroughly enjoyed my giant carafe of White Zin (it’s some of the best, I swear).  Oh, the food and dessert that I shared with the kiddos was good too.  ;)

Seriously though, bwtn PC’s bday last weekend with the super fun we had then, then dinner out with the kiddos and now going out of town…it’s been a little bit like a birthday WEEK.  *giggle*

Several things I wanted to mention real quick before I head out of town.
