While I was waiting for spontaneous combustion visiting Roxy in sunny California , 102 seemed excessively hot.  But hell, that is what pools and air conditioning are for.  While I was away they enjoyed torrential downpour and flash flooding at home.  We live on a moutainside and what was left of our roadbase is now sitting at the bottom of our drive.  Great.  And since I’ve been home we have enjoyed balmy 50-60 degree weather, no sign of the sun and constant rain.  Awesome.  I’m really hoping to see the sun again sometime soon.  Friday would be nice.  I mean it would be super cool if the kids could spend a couple more days at the pool before it closes for the season.  Hey, on the bright side, for as long as I can remember, it’s NEVER been this green this time of year.  Pay offs baby, pay offs.  *sigh*

Meanwhile, the top is down on my Jeep.  I like driving around with my top down (*giggle*).  It’s a huge PITA to take it off/put it back up.  So I’ve just left it down.  On icky weather days I (try to) arrange my schedule in such a way that I can use PC’s Explorer. It doesn’t always work out and several times I and/or the kids, have been caught in rainstorms or cold temperatures.  Eh.  No biggie.  But so far this week I have picked LM up from summer camp in the rain, 3 out of the 5 days.  I guess a part of me is determined to think that if I put the top back up, I’m conceding.  Damnit, I want some decent weather, it’s summer for goodness sakes!  *stomps foot*

Ok.  No more bitching about the weather.  This time last year Roxy and her husband were here, as well as many other out of town/state friends and family members.  Getting ready for the wedding.  I seriously can’t believe it’s (almost) been a year!  A huge part of me wishes we were heading off to Hedonism III, Jamaica again in the next few days.  Sigh……
