1. What was your high school decade?
The 80’s/early 90’s.  Graduated in ‘91. We had some kick ass hair in those days. Letmetellyou.  *snort*

2. Are you still friends with your high school friends?
Per se. I met Mojito when I was IN junior high, but not the same one.  And we are still friends.  I have a kindofsortof (I’m beyond pissed at him right now) friend from HS.  Besides that….no.

3. What was your favorite thing about high school?
God.  I’m not sure.  It was a weird era for me.  I was a straight A, perfect GPA student with a steady boyfriend whom I thought I would marry…with a naughty explorative side I hid pretty well….  I hit my Senior year and Senioritis HIT.  Drugs.  Drinking. Lying.  An old boyfriend and I reconnected and became a hot ‘thing’ (AH).  My mom kicked me out. 

But still I think I am going to say my Senior year.  It’s when I finally became ‘me’ (not that who I am is drinking/drugs/lying….lmao….but you see what I’m saying…I hope, right?!)

4. Your least favorite?
Gah.  My sophmore year.  It just wasn’t ‘me’ and lots of life changes and I was a total wall flower.  But at the same time…  I gave my all to HS boyfriend and I wished I had spent more time being ME.

5. Did you have a high school sweetheart? And how did that work out?
I did.  After almost 4 years together he decided he wanted to see what the grass was like on the other side of the fence.  While he did that I reconnected with a close friend/guy I had had an insane crush on since my freshman year (AH) and we hit it off at a party and the rest is history.  Of course the HS boyfriend decided THEN that I was truly who he wanted to be with. Yeah…sorry.  His loss. Right? ;)

6. Would you do the whole high school thing again, or is it better left in the past?
OMG no.  OH NO NO NO NO.  No thankyou.  ROFL

Kiddos spent the night with their NN so PC and I took the opportunity to go on a date.    He took me to Benihanas…:::drool:::…  It’s really pretty hard to decide which I love more…  Their Colorado Rolls (tempura shrimp, avacado, cream cheese and jalepenos), salad, soup, fried rice or plum wine?  Hell.  I don’t have to decide. I had them all!  HA!  I think I am seriously addicted to wasabi and soy.  It’s all about the sauce baby….all. about. the. sauce.  Mmmm….

Also spent the morning at the B&B, having our final meeting before the wedding.  It went really well.  Put our, ok ok….lol, MY mind at ease about many things. The menu is decided upon.  How the day will go is set.  We placed the order for the alcohol.  The man who runs the B&B seriously now knows what lushes I am we are.  Oh and our friends.  Seriously.  LOL!  PC’s son will be here in 8 days… Mojito and her hottie hubby in 9…  OMGOMGOMG….  T minus 12 days and counting.  Booyah baby!

This weeks TFT is up and I love, love, love the girls (AND GUYS!!!) who continue to contribute to the site.  BUT most importantly, show their support for our troops.  Bc after all, that is what the site is about.  It doesn’t matter whether you support our current president (believe me…I get emails regarding that), whether you know someone in the military, whether you are related to anyone who has served or is in the military, whether YOU served in the military (btw, Dana from Amid Life’s Crisis *HAS*).  What it’s all about is wanting to show your/our support for the troops.  To boost their moral.  Bc we are Americans and really….who’s to say that’s not enough?

The lovely Evening tagged me a ridiculously long time ago (sorry!!!).  And I’m just now finally
brilliant enough to do it.  Oh no, not that it was that
hard to come up with them.  But bc it was that hard to narrow it down.  DOH!

4) I really hate to talk on the phone.  I never answer my phone.  The
only two people I actually ‘talk’ to on a regular basis and for any
length of time is my sister and PC.  Having to talk on the phone,
making phone calls seriously causes me anxiety.    Obviously my calling
is not as a telemarketer…or phone sex operator.  (LOL!)

5) Things I’m insanely afraid of are: heights, claustrophobia and elevators.  I can be in high up places *as long as I feel safe*.  Weird, possibly, I know.  It takes everything with in me to get on an elevator.  It’s a childhood fear and I have worked really, really, REALLY hard to suppress my anxieties so that I can get on one when I have to.  But before entering one I always ‘assess’ it’s safety (and if anything remotely sets off my inner alarms….ok, more than normal, lol) and then practice deep breathing techniques the entire time I’m in it.

6) I’m the anti-girl when it comes to chocolate and ice cream.  I don’t
care for either and I could totally go through life with out having
either ever again.  (although I did finally try DQ’s Thin Mint Blizzard last night, after Os and TUG talked it up so much I wanted to try it, I had my five bites and was good.  But it was yummy, lol….  The Thin Mints sold me!)

1.  I LOVE pictures.  To take them BUT most especially, I can spend hours cropping, editing, messing with them.  Hours…….(lol)

2. You all know what a girlie girl I am.  I get my nails done weekly (toes every other week).  I’m down right GIDDY when they are freshly done and all pretty and perfect.  [happy sigh]

3. I hate to be cold.  Hate, hate, HATE it.  In my perfect world it’s 80 plus degrees all.the.fucking.time.

4. I suffered from an eating disorder (specifically anorexia) through my teenage years, basically 13yro on.  I am in a much healthier mind frame in regards to my weight and am able to recognize my ‘unhealthy’ self images, but when I get stressed, depressed, upset…..that’s what rears it’s ugly head.  It’s where I find comfort and what is effected first.  *sigh*

5.  I am a vegetarian.  That stems from my meat ‘issues’.  It began with steak when I was a child and continued to grow….adding more and more things to the list of things “I couldn’t fathom eating” because the look, smell, texture, taste just nauseated(s) me.

6. My father (unknowingly) forced me to drink spoiled milk when I was nine.  I haven’t drank milk since.  The very thought of drinking it is utterly revolting.

7. I am a complete klutz. (That’s probably obvious in the what, five plus times, I’ve burnt myself with my curling iron in the past 8months, lol)  Combined with the fact that I bruise easily….doh!  I should do a post on it.  You guys would be astounded, it’s mind boggling how much of a freak I am, lol.

8.  I hate to clean.  I like to be organized and neat.  Once upon a time I kept my house spotless, in perfect order.  I was a *clean freak*.  And then I had LP….  It became a bit more difficult but I still with a bit more effort was able to maintain a neat and tidy home.  Then LM came along….  My incredibly high maintenance child that demanded he be attached to me 24/7 for the first, oh, three years.  And the summer he was born, and I felt like I might just go insane bc AH was never home, both children were my sole responsibility, as well as all the outside and inside household responsibilities…  Something had to give.  And my clean house was it.  So while I admit to my house being somewhat embarassingly not so clean….my mental health (on most days ;) is in tact.
