Okay.  So someone needs to send me some *!%*&%$ sun and soon.  We haven’t had any sort of a trace of sun since Thurs.  It’s been raining and drizzly and overcast and foggy and cold and we’ve been socked in for three. days. straight.  I better see some freakin’ sun Monday or I may seriously have a manic depressive breakdown.  Seriously.  Sun.  NOW.  *sigh*

Well.  One thing about the weather being shitty and not feeling like doing much of anything other than remain snuggled up in bed….is the amount of movies you can watch. 

Leatherheads- ~groan~  Dumb. Booooooooring.  Stupid.  George Clooney and Renee Zellweger did an awesome job sucking hugely.  We ALL fell asleep during it.
88 Minutes- VERY good, loved it.  *Great* suspense/thriller.
Then She Found Me-  I can’t stand Mathew Broderick and the way he talks all nasaly, it annoys the crap out of me.  Luckily he’s not in it a ton but still…  I kept thinking I didn’t like it but I also kept getting sucked into it and it was pretty good.  Kind of, eh.
City of Ember- SUPER good.  The kids and I loved it.  A bit like Journey to the Center of the Earth.  Good plot and action packed.

Fuck me if our big dog hasn’t been sprayed by a skunk not once, but twice this week.  It’s her own damn fault too.  Yuck.  Thank god for vinegar.

Has anyone caught the new HBO series True Blood???  It rocks.  I LOVE that show.  I have become such a huge fan.  PC and I were discussing new shows the other night and I tried to explain to him that what enables me to get into a show is the cast and how likable they are to me.

I got a new phone.  Sweet!  A Blackberry Pearl in red. I have been going back and forth on what I wanted.  The Krazor I had has been limping along but I wasn’t up for an upgrade until *next* year.  But PC finally landed himself the iPhone he’s been pining for, forcing us to switch to AT&T….giving me the perfect opp to switch carriers as well, entitling me to a new phone.  SWEET!  I did have to switch numbers, kinda bummed about that.  But, eh.

Mute Monday- F is for FETISH (models)

Absolutely fabulously perfect weekend away.  It was hot and beautiful, we had an awesome time.    And we ate.  A LOT.  And drank.  A LOT.  Doh.  Somewhere in between the eating and drinking we also enjoyed the giant bubbble bath spa, made our way down to Newport Beach (which was overcast and freezing chilly) for some shopping, sunned/gossiped by the pool (back inland where it was like, WARM) and spent our last evening at a romantic little winery.
 
I don’t have all my pictures downloaded and I want to exchange them with SR first….but until then here is a couple teasers.  *grins*

Um…ouch. Apparently this happened in the spa???  When?  How?  Mysteriously woke up with it Sunday morning.  Warning:  Combining alcohol and cement spas may cause injury.  DOH.

My God this weekend went fast.  We took the kiddos to see Igor on Friday night.  I swear to god LM begged us to go.  Both PC and I drug our heels to go.  The reviews weren’t great.  It didn’t feel like my favorite thing to do.  BUT it was CUTE.  And FUNNY.  We loved it!!

My date with PC was awesome.  I dressed to impress in a cool new retro dress and boots, we shared a bottle of champagne, indulged in the yummiest food ever and I tried my first Port with dessert.  It was….pretty yummy.  Especially with the strawberries dipped in chocolate.  We also saw a movie,  Righteous Kill.  PC has been dying to see this movie, me…not so much.  BUT it was very, very good.  Oh.  And I sufficiently dominated PC’s ass in bed later on.  *smirk*    I think he had a good birthday. 

It happened to have one of my major girl crushes in it.  Carla Gugino.  Man that woman is *HOT*.

See what I mean?!  Yikes…

In other news…..

PC is in Brazil on business. He travels quite a bit and you would think by now I would have come accustomed to it. But no. I haven’t. And I’m missing him insanely.

I finished the hen house. *woo hoo* Put together the roosting/nesting boxes with the help of LP. Concocted the ramp. I rock. ;) Hehe….. And the best news is the chickens moved in all by themselves. They didn’t even need any persuasion! The ducks haven’t been as….excited. But I have high hopes they will persuaded over time.

I saw the previews for a movie I am *dying to see*….Nights in Rodanthe. It’s based off of the book by Nicholas Sparks. Who is probably one of my most favorite authors. I’m so totally wanting to run out to buy the book, bc it looks SUPER good. But if I wait to see the movie first and then read the book….bc you know the book is always better than the movie and I’m going to be much less disappointed if I see the movie, like it -or not- and then read the book and have so many blanks filled in for me. Hmm….decisions decisions…..

Monday I have to get electric fencing put up in the pasture the mini’s (horses, lol) use. I have a very naughty 4month old colt who keeps slipping through the fence and is apparently bound and determined to worry his mother and I to death and from what is seems is hoping to be hit by a car sooner than later. (grrrr…..)

Friday night-
Dropped kiddos off with their dad. Browsed one of my favorite stores that I looooooooove, buying a super cute/soft/awesome pj set and skirt I have been lusting after since the beginning of the summer. PC took us to Bubba Gumps for dinner…YUMMMMM……. Hot sex.

Saturday-
Didn’t sleep in bc the puppy likes to wake up at 6a/m and never went back to sleep/bed. *sigh* PC brought home Starbucks (Mmmmmmm) Went to see Tropic Thunder…fucking hilarious movie. OMFG we *loved* it, everyone in the theater was in hysterics! Hemmed and hawed over costume ideas for Halloween.

Sunday-
Didn’t sleep in bc I woke PC up for morning nookie. ~wink~ Had hay delivered for the winter (booyah!). Hemmed and hawed over costume ideas for Halloween. Discovered my washing machine had decided to kick the bucket while mid way through a load of laundry (fuck. me.) FOUND the. perfect. costume (woot!!! …and no, I’m not telling you, it’s a surprise). Ran errands, including dropping off my wedding rings (For two weeks they need them…*humpf*) Picked up kiddos. Dropped LP at my sisters bc the nieces were dying to see each other (lol). Planning on sex later…. (again*ahem*!)

Tomorrow looks like possibly a BBQ with family. I have a shed/hen house being delivered Thursday. And there you go. The end.

Mute Monday- School/Education

With out trying to make this a very NON Mute Monday post, I will say my quick 2 cents. Sex Education for children and teens (hell I even know some adults who should take note) is *imperative*. I mean, obviously I hope my daughter will never won’t have sex until she’s a grown adult woman who can make grown up adult decisions for herself. But as much as I can hope that. And work on instilling those values in her and expressing that to her. It’s honestly possibly unrealistic, IMO. Of course I will encourage her to wait and all that jazz. But if she is going to someday, good lord I want her to be SMART about it and have the knowledge she needs to be able to make smart decisions. So. That said. I am a HUGE fan of sex education. I’ll save the rest of what I have to say for CQW.

Well. The kiddos begin school Wednesday. Monday is our last ‘no frill/no pressing commitments/do nothing’ day. Tuesday both have placement/assessment testing. LM begins Kindergarten, which much to my dismay is half day. Not bc I don’t love spending time with him, but bc I think Half Day K programs are retarded. But, whatever. I don’t have a choice in that. I WAS excited that he made the morning program, which is what I had requested but still you never really know…..

So he’s off to Kindergarten and LP is on to 3rd. We had the meet and greet with both kids teachers on Friday, which also included dropping off school supplies and getting desks set up. This is the first year they will be riding the bus. I’ve felt guilty shuffling LP onto the bus until now. But you have no idea how stoked I am to have both kids in the same. school. WOOT! AND with them riding the bus to school and LP home….I potentially don’t have to leave the house but once a day, to get LM from school. I swoon at the thought of all the gas we will save! I plan on coordinating my runs (bc I prefer to run my beloved route in town rather than the one along the lake by our house) with the pick up of LM. Booyah Baby!!!

Still. Wow. The school year is really here. I can’t believe the summer is coming to an end. All summer I/we were looking forward to something…. The River trip with SR and her crew, Disney World, the wedding, Jamaica…. And now, it’s all come and gone. Kind of makes me a bit melancholy. *sigh* The fact that as much as I love fall and really do like winter, I always, always miss summer. It’s my favorite season and if I had *MY* way summer would be 7months and winter only 3. Gah. But I can’t complain too much, we have (normally) pretty mild winters, long Indian Summers for fall…….

Oh well.

In other news. WE HAVE SOLVED THE CHICKEN MURDERING FOX ISSUE.

After much research, contemplation, wasted time and money…..we purchased a Tuff Shed. It’s not here yet but will be soon enough. In the meantime LP and I have been catching and enclosing the chickens/ducks each night. Which the first night sucked ASS. Each night since has been easier and easier. We have a system down and they all seem to be getting accustomed to us accosting them each night. (((them))) But hell, little do they know I am saving their freaking little feathery LIVES. Doh.

So. There you go. PC is gone most of the week on business. Yay me….not…. :( I think this week will finally be *normal* here in blogland for me. So..yay you…or not, or whatever. LOL ~wink~

Well. Went to bed at 1something a/m. Woke up at 4a/m. Hit the road by 6a/m. Was running late so no coffee until 5min before we boarded. (I’m not complaining though…we made it on time AND I did finally have coffee which is really what counts!) Four hour flight to Miami. Reminding PC and I why we don’t ever (EVER) fly American. They have the smallest seats and seating room. For those that haven’t noticed…PC is not a small guy. He had to sit in this precarious position and cramped. No fun.

To add to the fun, while on our lay over in Miami….the airport sucks. Ass. Seriously. It makes DIA look like a 5 star hotel in comparison.

But hey, I have momentary internet and about to hit an all inclusive adult resort. Seriously, nothing to complain about there! ~wink~

Here is where I would recap the weekend. But I’m just not feeling it tonight. 

I had to put my big goat, Tucker, down Friday.  He was 7yro, I’ve had him since he was 8weeks.  He was just like a dog.  Such an incredibly sweet animal.  He did totally annoying things like rub his one horn on things (one time my ex h’s truck….DOH!) like the barn which was basically destroying it in certain areas, he knocked down the hay stack on a routine basis, he ate my trees, ruined my flower beds….  But he was sweet and gentle and just a very kind soul.  I will miss him.  Probably similar to how his little friend will miss him. Our last remaining goat, Chloe, has been lost.  She is lonely and sad and doesn’t know what to do with herself.  He was her best friend.  *sob* 

PC’s away on business part of this week and will be returning with his son Wednesday.  You will find me furiously cleaning in his absence.

Daisy is doing awesome.  She is such a sweet, little girl.  Sleeping through the night.  Hardly any accidents in the house.  Has really taken to everyone in the family (some of the other doggies are slightly less enthusiastic…AHEM…).

PC has gotten me hooked on a show recently.  And he predicted that I would fall for the lead female character. I remember her from other shows/movies and at first wasn’t very impressed.  But damn if this chick hasn’t caused me to obsess over her.  She’s fucking hot. Something. about. her.  (and damnittoallhell if PC isn’t right…. again…..lol)

Besides spending hours in the near 100 degree temps building a hen house….wkend was busy but good and uneventful.
