Hmm…. This is where I would usually write stuff about this past week.  I mean it has been since Monday that I shared anything of significance.  But, um, yeah.  I have nothing.  PC was away on business all week.  It was me and the kiddos.  The weather has been crisp, sunny and quite fall like.  I love this kind of fall weather.  I love running in the fall.  Rythmically breathing in the cool, air…  The crisp leaves underfoot along the trail.  I could run forever it’s fel like the past few mornings.  I love that feeling.

Clarity.  That is what I get when I run.  Usually the end result is me feeling relieved of stress, being able to get my mind off of things laying heavily on it, or maybe thinking about those things but being able to feel better about them at  least momentarily…..  Whatever it is, I gain clarity and always, always feel better afterwards. 

This morning I was running and something popped in my head.  The perfect response to a snarky email I received two years ago.  It was from someone I had thought a friend at one time, had come out of the blue and at the time I was amidst severe emotional stress.  I can’t remember for sure, but I think I just ignored the email.  Dug my hands in my pockets, sighed heavily and buried it in the ’shit I can’t handle right now’ metaphoric category.  But here I am running and *poof*, there it was, so clear and eloquent and perfect.  Damnit.

I watched the Sex and the City movie this past week while PC was out of town.  I was a loyal follower through out it’s TV series life.  I had no idea it would make me cry like it did.  GAH. Maybe it was my previously failed marriage and being able to identify.  Or having just gotten married myself (thank fucking god I didn’t see this movie before the wedding, it would have caused me to be a MESS!)  but lord!  Cry fest.  Oh.  Really, really good movie, though not really sure I loved the ending.

This week was all about Native Americans in our household.  Let me explain. The 3rd graders spend their first quarter studying Native Americans.  And the grand finale of the quarter is a week spent in actual Tepees.  Cool, right?  Well, yeah!  I mean they even get to spend a night of their choice sleeping in one with a family member.  And actually, they invite the entire family to spend the night in one.  Cool, right?!  Um….no….not really, not so much.  I’m not a fan of camping (understatement of the year) and when I am forced to do so consider it, it most definitely includes a cooler of ice cold beer and a campfire.

I promised to volunteer but really (really) did not want to camp overnight on the hard ground, freezing my ass off with out my wifi and beer and um, heat in a Tepee.  When I broke the news to her she was….well, horribly disappointed.  And my Prince Charming stepped forward and said he would take her (oh thank fucking god…I love that man!).  She was ecstatic.  Fuck, I was ecstatic.  Long story short- They froze their asses off.  The family who shared the Tepee with them snored like a grizzly bear.  PC was miserable.  SHE was miserable.  They were home by 5:30 the next morning.  With LP in earnest agreement that it wasn’t quite the ‘experience’ the school had made it out to be.  DOH.

….I’m hoping when LM makes it to 3rd grade he won’t be too terribly disappointed when we inform him no way in hell will we probably won’t be spending the night in one of those goddamn Tepees.  (((LM)))
Pffbbttt…whatever.

That’s pretty much it.  We’ve had positively *beautiful* weather this week. I hope it lasts through the weekend.

1. What do you feel is the difference between sexy and erotic?
Hmm…  If you look both up, they almost basically have the same definitions.  But *TO ME*- Sexy tends to seem more to describe ‘appealing’ or ‘attractiveness’ in a way that grabs you, strikes you.  Where as Erotic provokes more sexual arousal, more visual appeal.  I consider it to be beyond ’sexy’.  Erotic seems a step further. 

2. Do you believe there is one right person (i.e. soul mate) for you out there in the world, or that there can be many different potential mates that you could live blissfully with?
Wow. Um… No. I think there might be several or many compatible people out there. But I *DO* think there is one perfect person that you will click with ‘the best’. So yeah. I do believe in soul mates. But I also believe you can find other pple you can be compatible with that can ’seem’ like your soul mate, unless/until you find that ’someone’ you seem MORE compatible with. I’m talking in circles, lol. 

What I mean is I thought my ex was supposed to be my soul mate.  It felt he was for years.  If you had asked me ten years ago I probably would have said- YES, he WAS.  But over the years things fell apart, things became more apparent.  And then I met PC.  And he is who I wished for.  :)

3. Do you need to hear “I love you” or similar words on a regular basis from your partner?
Yes. I do. But not only hear it, FEEL it. PC and I are very affectionate with each other and show and tell each other this *very* often. But on the same (but kind of different note) we do the same with the children. I think it’s important to remind the pple you care about/love most know on a regular basis.  There is a level of security and comfort in being reminded of it.

4. What feeling do you have the most difficulty expressing?
Ooo! Good question. I think I have difficulty standing up for myself. But is that a feeling???  Hmm….  I have no clue.  I am quite an emotional person, I show my emotions/feelings probably too well.  LOL

5. What is worse - physical, mental or cyber cheating?
Mental. Having a physical or cyber ‘relationship’ with another person is on the surface. Building/forming a mental bond/relationship/connection with another person is pretty significant.

Bonus (as in optional): The Kinsey scale attempts to describe a person’s sexual history or episodes of their sexual activity at a given time. It uses a scale from 0, meaning exclusively heterosexual, to 6, meaning exclusively homosexual. Where are you - TODAY - on the scale?

Well.  It seems I’ve managed to make it further into my mid *cough* thirties.  Today.  ~grins~

Because PC travels so much for business he earns some pretty wicked perks.  Such as free airline tickets.  Last year SR and her hottie hubby came here for a super fun wkend to celebrate my birthday.  Seeing they were just out here for the wedding, it seemed only fair that we use PC’s rewards to go out there to celebrate. 

So…..the kiddos are going to their grandparents and PC and I are catching a mid day flight to Ca for the wkend.  I think the plan is to spend time with good friends, drink, relax, drink, let loose, drink and just have a kick ass time (drinking….lol).  This is us we are talking about here, most likely nakedness will be involved sometime in this agenda.  Hehe…  SR and I have agreed that we need to take many, many pictures.  I promise to share upon my return.

PC and the kids took me out for an early birthday dinner at Carraba’s Tuesday night.  It was completely yummy and *TDF* as usual.  I thoroughly enjoyed my giant carafe of White Zin (it’s some of the best, I swear).  Oh, the food and dessert that I shared with the kiddos was good too.  ;)

Seriously though, bwtn PC’s bday last weekend with the super fun we had then, then dinner out with the kiddos and now going out of town…it’s been a little bit like a birthday WEEK.  *giggle*

I’m going on a date!  Saturday my sister is taking the kiddos overnight and we have reservations at my favorite, special place (The Melting Pot…. *drool* ….).  It’s actually where we went on our second date.  I’m excited.  A chance to dress up, eat yummy food, drink champagne, flirt shamelessly with my husband and just enjoy each other.  ~grins~

We finally had some decent weather this week.  But it’s definitely fall.  You know what though?  When the weather is nice like this I don’t really mind fall.  I run with the dogs each morning down to the lake and this time of year the camp ground is empty, it’s decidingly quite and peaceful.  The trees are in that state of turning those beautiful, vibrant colors.  It’s warm but there is a comfortable crispness in the air….  *happy sigh*

LP started dance last week.  She took gymnastics for 5 years and decided last year to take a break from it.  So now she’s trying Hip Hop.  She’s *loving* it.

LM started soccer and that is going….not as well.  Ok, it’s horrible.  This is the first year we have attempted the soccer program in town.  LP attended numerous successful seasons in a different program.  I think I was definitely spoiled by the ‘better’ program.  But at the same time, ALL the parents are digruntled and upset over how disorganized it is.  There is one adult coach, 4-6 teenagers to help….and over 35 kids.  It’s a cluster fuck!  They are so busy being disorganized that they aren’t teaching anything.  I watched two weeks in a row as LM is shuffled from place to place and pushed aside and becoming frustrated bc he wants to learn how but there are so many freaking KIDS and not enough DIRECTION from anyone who knows what they are doing.  Well.  After talking with PC, we are pulling him out.  We will try soccer next season, with the league I have had good luck with when LP played.  My worst fear is that LM becomes discouraged and frustrated in a sport he has a passion to try and succeed in.  So we’re going to sign him up for Jujitsu until next season.

So.
MY WASHER IS FIXED. Woot!!! Almost two weeks I have been with out it. The good news was that it went out on me right after I had just finished *all* the laundry. But I have been hand washing LM’s freaking underwear in the kitchen sink. Um, yeah….

Yes, we have a laundry mat in town but I lived for like five plus years with out a washer and lived in a fucking laundry mat and can I tell you something about them? They are boring. I have sooooooooooo much better things to do with my time and life than sit in a room full of washing machines and dryers. Bored. I’m OCD and a multi-tasker. I would be sitting in that place thinking of all the things I should/could be doing. Gah. Oh. And PC did remind me that most laundry mats offer a service where you can drop your clothes off for them to do and then just pick it up.
Oh yeah….we won’t even GO there (this is me, the obsessive freak with issues people, serious, serious issues…..and he is suggesting someone else wash my clothes?! And entrust them to wash them and dry them and fold them the way I would want?!?! ….the very thought throws me into a panic/anxiety attack… *shudder* …)

Moving on (lol). LP’s birthday went well. My mom and uncle came up for the afternoon and I made the kids their all time favorite dinner of bbq baked drumsticks (bbq salmon for me ~wink!~). Per her request, I also baked her a ‘coconut cake’.

But, somehow I managed to burn myself while baking cakes/cupcakes. On my stomach. Doh. Sadly. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I have done this several other times over the years. Double DOH! Who know baking could be so dangerous!?
*shaking head*

PC came home Wednesday from his business trip to Brazil (which was very successful). YAY!!!! Lord do I miss that man when he’s away. So. damn. much. We spent the day in the bedroom um…..catching up with one another. Uh-huh. *giggles*

Saturday we are having LP’s ‘official’ bday party with her friends. We are taking her HERE with her little girl cousins to have their hair and nails done. Which is so……LP. LOL.

So. The concert Wednesday was…..

FUCKING AWESOME!!!!

Hands down best. concert. EVER. I mean I have seen some kick ass shows. Where I loved the Headliner band. But you know, maybe haven’t heard of the opening band(s) or liked them okay, but didn’t love them. Or liked them, but “that’s cool”….I was still there for THE band. Ok. This concert was first of all at Red Rocks. Which is THE most kick ass venue in the state. It fucking rocks. But then you have Finger Eleven, who opened. They rocked it. THEN came Hinder. And you know, I kind of lost interest in them a year or so ago when I got bored/annoyed that every song they sang was about cheating and breaking up and being in love with someone you can’t have…*yawn*…. Their new stuff *rocks* though. (although the lead singer and drummer are a wee….bit, um….interesting?)

THEN. Came 3 Doors Down. O.M.F.G. The crowd loved them. WE loved them! Everyone sang along. They were completely interactive. So sososososoosososooooooooooooo good. It helped that we loved all three bands and knew just about every. single. one. of their songs.

But I seriously suck and it never even *occurred* to me to bring my camera (stupid, stupid me! DOH!)

In other news…. My hen house was delivered and built. Sah-weet! I’m super stoked. We ust need to get ‘roosting boxes’ built and a ramp and everyone will be happy campers. Booyah baby!

My washing machine is, well….still broken. After realizing a purchased *new* washer would take two weeks to deliver. And that GE couldn’t have anyone out for over a week… I called Blow Joe (Blow Joe…whatever) appliance repair and finally spoke with someone who knew what I was describing and I have faith can fix it, easily. They come Monday!!!

TGIF, baby! Seriously, I’m all about this week being over. Goodfuckinglord.

Kiddos began school Weds and I proceeded to have two of the. shittiest. days….. Including missing the bus bc we were told it came 10min later than it actually did, retarded arguments, two tiiiiiiiiiiired and therefore overly emotional children, an entire afternoon at the DMV to walk out with out a single thing accomplished except the loss of gas, time and patience and LP possibly sick (her 2nd day of school, doh!)…. All of it done with PC out of town on business. I seriously needed a hug.

*sigh*

I spent the first 7 years carrying all parenting responsibilities solely on my shoulders. It takes a week like this to make me realize how reliant I have become, in the last two years, on having a partner, who shares in the parenting and helps me so much physically and emotionally. I really, really missed him this week.

I think next week should be easier. The kiddos will be in the swing of things. I drove to school every morning this week to meet the bus and help the kiddos find their rooms, etc. This next week I think they are ready to do it on their own. So we should fall into an easier routine of how things really will be. Rather than this discombobulated week from hell.

Goodbye week…don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Gah.

Kiddos are spending the holiday weekend with their dad and grandparents. Honestly, I’m going to miss them. Sometimes when they go to visit their dad I am ready to welcome some adult alone time with PC. Not that I’m not going to welcome the time but having just spent a week away from them on our honeymoon, and PC having been away. I’m actually craving some family time. But the kids are excited and will enjoy themselves. PC and I might even go on a real date. Hehe! Although probably not the date our hot Jamaican friends are going on, to a swingers party this weekend. *jealous*

I have done something I really didn’t think (nor do I think PC thought) I would ever do…. I gave him permission to buy a gun. I have a fucking Fox problem. If any of you remember, near this same time last year I had a fox problem then too. That problem was easily solved by installing an electric fence (course this was after 4 of my chickens were murdered, one of which was a 3yro beloved pet…stupid fucking fox). This fox, whether the same one or not, is much smarter. He is climbing/jumping over the fence. Three chickens (one of them a favorite) and a duck. Fuck. me. Stupidfuckingfox.

As if I don’t have enough going on this week trying to get back into the swing of things after the wedding and being gone a week for our honeymoon. As well as getting the kiddos ready for school next week…. I’m having to deal with Stupidfuckingfox. Oh. And a very (VERY) large dog who has learned how to go through a NOT SO big dog door. Wouldn’t be much of a deal except this very (VERY) large doggie likes to run away. Seriously…really?! *sigh* I guess when you have as many animals as we do you have to expect animal issues from time to time.

Enough of that.

When I posted honeymoon pictures from Hedonism III the other day, several people brought up something I wanted to touch on and clarify. Comments were made about how they wouldn’t feel comfortable going to resort like that bc of the way they looked or felt as if they wouldn’t fit in bc of their body style or type. We had a conversation with the really fun/hot couple (the ones we hit it off with) about this topic. The ‘misrepresentation’ of the resort. If you see the resort ads on Playboy or even websites….it’s portrayed as something it really isn’t. It isn’t a ’swinging’ resort. It isn’t wall to wall land of the beautiful. Or stuck up. Or rich. It’s every day people. It’s the same people you would see walking down the street. Or at the grocery store. They go to this resort to let loose. For fun. Bc it’s an AWESOME place to go for such a great price. (I mean seriously…. a flat price under $3000 includes airfare for two people and the resort is ALL-INCLUSIVE….food, alcohol, entertainment, activities….they don’t even allow tipping!) People can be themselves. There is absolutely no pressure to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with or doing. Everyone is very open minded and fun. The experience is as fun and awesome as you let it.

Of course, you have to go into it with an open mind.

There was an older couple who were beyond cute. They were in their 60’s probably. And they participated in every theme night. They made their way to the club every night. They stepped in to offer to take pictures whenever they saw couples (us) wanting pictures taken. They were adorable.

Another instance was a couple of women, 50’s (???). They weren’t young and ‘beautiful’. Or ’small’ or ‘perfect’….. (I say very sarcastically bc they can be such shallow words). They both had some weight on them. But I will tell you, they strut their stuff, naked often during the day. They participated in the wet t-shirt contest and many other activities. They *rocked* it. And something they shared with me the first day was how this was something to mark off their ‘bucket list’. They had never done anything like this before, but had decided to throw caution to the wind and just have FUN. They were embracing the situation and the experience. It was cute to see them. And you know what, everyone else embraced them too.

THAT is what being there was about. People made friends. Played volleyball. Ate. Bullshit with each other. Swam. Sunned themselves. Drank. Danced. HAD FUN. Naked, half naked or clothed…. Enjoyed themselves.

So next year we should plan a sex blogger get together at Hedo. Just sayin’……. ;)

Seriously. Insanity has followed me for two weeks. The good kind, but still….busy! I told you just as I would feel caught up from the wedding that I would be running around trying to get us ready to leave for Jamaica! I have myself and two kiddos to pack for, animals and a house to prepare for us to be away for a week….gah.

Took the kiddos school shopping the other day. That was quite the chore to tackle with both kiddos in tow, alone. Goodfuckinglord. I mean it’s always a challenge and super crazy. But this year it was twice the work fun. I’m always amazed by the list the teachers come up with, not so much how much of the supplies that are needed but how ‘brand specific’ they are (Crayola 8 pk water colors- which would be fine except Crayola is always sold out so you can find Crayola 10pk….24pk….or the generic brand, Fiskar scissors, durable plastic two pocket folders…but NOT trapper keepers! …etc…). I sometimes wonder if it’s how they break the parents in for the new year. LOL But it’s done. *WOOT!* PC suggested I order them online next year. Hmm….novel idea. But what fun would that be?! ~wink~ IDK….groceries and school supplies seem like they are best bought in person.

Uh yeah….this is the point I jumped up to look out the window and see what on earth she was trying to talk him into doing that he wouldn’t. Bc honestly, that boy will try ANYTHING once. He has no fear. Well. No biggie. She was only trying to get him to jump off the platform of the swingset (5 feet high) onto a tightly twisted swing/see saw that she was going to release when he jumped. HELLO!?!?! Seriously, I don’t know WTH she was thinking and how she thought that was a good idea. No my little darlings…. NO. Baaaaaad idea.

After I stopped them and said no way in f-ing hell was that ok or should they attempt that again…. I hear him say “I TOLD you that was a bad idea”.

It’s unclear whether there will even be internet but I mean seriously….we will be at an all inclusive adult only resort (PC’s friends and business associates keep calling it a ’swinger resort’ LOLOLOL). *ahem* I’m going to be slightly um, busy ~wink, wink~ I AM going to do my damndest to post an HNT though. Every night at the resort the club has a different theme (mandatory)….pirates, fetish, toga, pajama/lingerie party….you get the idea. So I should have some awesome HNT photo ops *evil grin*

Oh. And I hope to post some wedding pics this weekend before we leave, with a better recap.
