TMI Tuesday (7-15-08)

1. What were you known as in HS (Jock, Princess, Geek)
Um…  None of the above.  I wasn’t in the uber popular (uber stuck up) crowd, but I definitely wouldn’t have been considered a geek.  I was me. I was friends with geeks, popular people, jocks.  Most of my friends were graduated and at least a year above me (age wise).

2. What were you really?
What I just said.  LOL See above.

3. If you could go back and tell your 16 year old self one thing, what would it be?

STAY AWAY FROM THE SKATER DUDE.
No, lol. I’m kidding.  With out him I wouldn’t have my kiddos and they are pretty close to my everything, and I honestly don’t regret my relationship with him, just certain things *about* the relationship.

Ok.  Something different.  I was this straight A, don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t break rules (notice I am refraining from using ’straight laced’ though….*SNORT!*) teen my sophomore/junior years.  When I became a senior and broke up with the boyfriend I had been spending ALL my time with since my freshmen year…. I went into serious party mode.  Parties every night, drinking, drugs, lying, sneaking around…  It caused a serious riff bwtn my mom and I.  So much so that she kicked me out the month before I graduated.  Luckily I had been so insanely studious the previous years that I had the capability to skate through my senior year classes with out issue, in spite of my partying.

4. If you could erase one moment from your school days what would it be?

I kept a group of friends (girls) that treated me like shit. I wished I would have caught on sooner than I did and ditched them.  They were totally shitty to me.  Which is why I kept mainly guy friends after I got rid of them.

5. Who did you not date (or more) that you wish you did?
IDK.  I had two serious relationships.  I had several best friends who were guys.  I sometimes wonder what it would have been like if I dated them.  I’ll say….Jeff.  We had a serious attraction to each other.  He once confessed his undying love for me while we were drunk and I pretended the next day that I didn’t remember to save him feeling badly or stupid.

Bonus (as in optional): If you went to prom, describe your outfit.

Which prom?  LOL I went to my boyfriends Junior prom (I was a sophomore), my junior prom and my senior prom.  The dresses I wore to the first two were utterly hideous (think Vegas showgirl for one…LORD! lmao)*puke* But my senior prom dress was princess-y and I felt beautiful in it.  It was light pink, had corset lacing up the front of it, feminine spaghetti straps.  I loved that one.

But unfortunately my senior prom sucked the most.  AH ruined it for me.  *sigh*  Oh well.

Loved your answers this week darlin’! Happy TMI! XoXo.

  2.   Dana Says:

Hehehehe! You posted a prom picture too! It was far easier than explaining early 80’s fashion - especially when a handful of the bloggers who read me were BORN in the early 80’s!

    Really enjoyed your answers!

  3.   ms.inconspicuous Says:

*grin* I love the prom picture! That’s not so bad, really, it’s sorta like…prom-wedding. :)

    Happy TMI!

  4.   Biscuit Says:

If it weren’t for the fact that my mother is still in possession of all of my prom pics, you all would have been subjected to an early 80’s me hidden somewhere inside a big poofy dress. LOVE yours ;)

Another girl here with mostly guy friends, because girls are just too mean to each other.

  5.   Mojito Mojo Says:

HAHA - I still had that prom picture up until you guys split up. Then I got the joy out of burning his side of it like I always wanted to. (LOL - j/k!!) But really, I still have that wallet.

  6.   Tink Says:

I’ve joined the ranks with you & love your answers! But… I married the skater dude.

    My answers are here.

  7.   Paul B Says:

It is usually the straight laced ones that go wild at some point or another, right?

  8.   Vixen Says:

Ms.I- Believe me, I posted the dress that was *least* hideous, LOL.

  9.   Vixen Says:

Tink- Doh…I married the Skater Dude too. It just didn’t work out as planned. ;)

  10.   bunny Says:

What a cute dress on such a cute girl!! You are clearly a little younger than me and were able to avoid the ankle-length hoop-optional atrocities of the early 80 - LOL.

    I posted pics too.

    Happy TMI!

  11.   Vixen Says:

Paul B- What I was getting at was that while on the outside I appeared very straight laced…it was *behind* the scenes that the naughtiness was going on. LOL

  12.   Vixen Says:

Bunny- LOL! Nope, it was late 80’s/early 90s for me.

  13.   Professor Fate Says:

My mother was too well connected in my little town. I spent most of the weekends gone to a female friend’s house in a near by town. Years later at a reunion I had someone accuse my of being a goody two shoes and never doing anything. That was met with snickers by those who knew I wasn’t as I appeared.

I actually played in the comment section this week.

  14.   unbridledesires Says:

I was so looking for a click through on that prom picture ;)

  15.   Mike Y Says:

    1. I was considered a jock, though I actually didn’t play any sports. Go figure.

    2. I don’t think I was much of anything. Is slacker an acceptable classification? I know I was least likely to join the military.

    3. It was okay to be a geek ;)

    4. I think I would have gotten control of my life and emotions sooner, rather than let my mom dictate them for the whole family with her depression.

    5. I wanted to date a couple of different girls, but was too chicken to ask them out. Plus, even if I had, my home life wouldn’t have really allowed me to date anyone. So what’s the point?

Bonus: Umm… it was a tux ;) I can’t really describe it. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t white and it didn’t have tails.

  16.   Elisa Says:

Great answers. I hate the one about the shitty friends though. That sucks. Why do girls have to be such bitches to each other???? :(

  17.   Riff Dog Says:

Love that prom picture! I’d have been all over you!

  18.   Vixen Says:

Unbridled- Uh huh….I’m sure you were. LOL And what would that have entailed?

  19.   TUG Says:

I just have to point out that he is wearing PINK! OMG…gotta love the 80’s.
